Sharp Aquos Won't Power On

Hello, My Sharp Aquos LCD TV just popped off while I was watching it. The power light wouldn't come back on, so I unplugged it and plugged it back in about 5 or 6 times, and it finally powered back up. Then it popped back off again. The power doesn't seem to be getting to the TV no matter what I do--the power light won't even come on. Does this sound fixable? I don't want to waste money trying to get a tv fixed if it's not going to actually be repaired.

I have a 20" Aquos. It turns on for about 15 - 20 seconds, will change channels, everything seems to work fine. After that screen goes blank, no sound either, just like it was shut off. It will not turn on again until it has been unplugged fron the outlet for a period of time. I can do this all day long nothing changes.

I too had the same problem. I turned my tv on this morning, and it shut off 5 minutes later, and won't turn back on. The outlet is good, but the tv doesn't show signs of receiving power.

I have the same problem with my My LC-42D62U WHen i watch certain DVDs, (so far it happened on SAW III and RUNNING SCARED) during certain parts of those movies my TV will turn off and i cant turn it back on unless i unplug it and plug it back in. It only turns off on specific parts in the movie, i have no idea why...like the same exact parts...so i pretty much have to pause the movie with my remote once my TV turns off then when i power the TV on again just resume the movie and its fine...but if i rewind to that part again it'll power off again SAW III only had one part like that....but RUNNING SCARED had about 3-4

Unplugged it. After looking for a new tv online I decided to try getting it to work. So, plugged it back in and held down the power button, a red light came on, held down the power button again and an orange light came on, held down power button again and green light came on and tv powered on. This was simply a case of trial and success!

unplug, hold power button, plug in. If that doesn't work, unplug all the HDMI cables, unplug the power, hold power button, plug back in.

MY sharp aquos LC45GX6UTV will not turn on, the power light continues to keeping flashing red

Hello,

Thr power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.

Hope this workout.....

Sharp TV LC37D40U Aquos malfunction. It fails to turn on (no picture, no sound) except that power button light blinks off and on continuously. Any ideas. Thanks.

The blinking light is a indicator of a internal failure, it usually blinks as an error code, I have two suggestions, unplug the TV from the power outlet and let it set for at least 30 minutes not plugged into the wall outlet, then plug it back in and see if it has returned to factory defaults and returned to normal operation, if that didn't work then contact sharp @ 1-800-237-4277 and they will gladly assist you. Good luck !

No power to tv after unplugging and replugging

either the fuse is burnt out inside or the the problem is the power supply board. You can remove the back cover to see if the fuse is good or not.

Try unplugging the unit and while unit is unplugged hold the volume up button and channel down buttons down and while depressing both buttons plug the unit in. Let go of the buttons and the unit should come on in the service mode. There will be a small k on the screen. With the sharp remote press the channel up button once. This should bring up a menu that will show a lamp error line. If the lamp error is = to 5 the unit is in lamp error shut down. User channel down to highlight that line and curser right arrow to highlight the lamp error #. Hit the enter button to clear the lamp errors. Now unplug the unit and let it sit for a minute and plug back in. I hope this corrects the problem. If the unit does not come on by doing this or if it does and you do not find lamp errors the power supply pcb may have been damaged by the surge.

unplug the tv from the power outlet, wait until the light stops flashing then plug it back in. works for me.

the flashing light means that your tv needs to be serviced, if its still under warranty you shouldnt have to pay for this.
