We are in the Northeast and just recently got our power back after being out for 10 days. Our SubZero Model 561 (side by side) is not cooling properly. The freezer works just fine, which tells me that the compressor is okay. We cranked the setting up to 10 but it has been 36 hours now and the inside is barely cold...almost warm.

pop the top panel and clean your condenser, this is the most common problem, other than that it could be your compressor or refrigerant leak.this model i believe is two separate systems so one will not effect the other/. good luck!
2 posibles problems. if the ice is only about 4 an 8 inches you have a seal system problem.(evaporator freon leak) need replace the evaporator asap. if the ice cove a big part of the back wall you have a thermostat problem. for replace the evaporator better call a tech. remember to call a subzero factory authorized company. maybe still under some warrantty> good luck LEAVE YOUR COMMENT IF IT WAS GOOD FOR YOU....... THANKS
Did u check condenser on the top behind the grill? If it's clean, check unit for evaporator freon leaking. Light....Possibly bad bulbs behind that plastic light cover or light switch - one of them located on upper portion of door frame.
Check to see if the freezer fan is running. Push in the two switches at the top. The light should go out and if the freezer is powered on the fan should come on. The icemaker runs on temperature so no cold means no ice. Check for ice build up around the evaporator. Could be a defrost issue or a sealed system problem. As for the water, is it the floor of the unit or the floor of the house? Is the drippan in place or sitting on the floor? Also check the condenser fan motor. If this is all greek to you, you should probably call a factory authorized servicer.
Sounds like a defrost problem. Check to see if
there is any frost buildup in the back wall of the freezer. If so, it is not
defrosting as it should.
bad defrost timer
bad defrost heater (in freezer)
bad thermo switch in freezer
If you don’t know what these are then unplug the machine and let the ice
melt in the freezer overnight with the door open. Then try it the next day, if
is cooling fine then you need to have a service person replace one of the above
Blow out the condenser with an air compressor. Make sure the evaporator coil is not frosted up, if so, the drawer may naot have been closed properly, or you may have a defrost problem, (timer, terminator, etc). Possible freon leak in the high side drain loop. Compressor may not be pumping efficiently, could have a bad condenser fan motor.
Rhino, this is yet another simple fix. You need to call subzero and let them know that your ref section is not cooling properly. 9 out of 10 times it will be a problem with the evaporator coil needing replacement. Sub is aware of this issue and usually picks up the tab for this repair.
