C:\documents and settings\Administrator\Application data\newnext.me\nengine.dll acces is denied

If you are getting nengine.dll error message when you turn on your computer it means that your computer is infected with Newnext.me adware or if you already removed it from the system, it could be that the startup information is still present and Windows tries to load the file that doesn't exist. As a result you get an error massage saying that nengine.dll module could not be found. It basically means that there are still some registry keys left that point to this adware file.

To resolve Newnext.me nengine.dll issue, you can use Autoruns for Windows or open up Windows registry editor, search for nengine.dll or Newnext.me and delete all entries you find. You can also remove this error message by removing the start-up entry in the Windows Task Scheduler. I recommend using Autoruns. Once the problem is fixed, scan your computer with anti-malware software. Why? Because very often this adware comes bundled with PUPs and even spyware. There might be malware on your computer that you didn't notice yet.

Hi - on log on my computer is unable to open my user account and opens a temporary account instead. It gives the message 'attempting to restore a file in the registry but the specified file is not in...

If you can access your computer with a temporary user account, you can simply replace the "hal.dll". You can find this file in all windows computers (win xp to win 7), simply copy the file from another computer save it on a flash drive and paste it in the folder C: > Windows > System 32 and paste it. The steps are as follows, open "My Computer", double click "C:" drive, again open "Windows" folder and then again open "System32" folder and paste the file there. Restart your computer and it'll work fine.

Or you can download the "hal.dll" file here.click here. (I've uploaded it for you). Open the link and click "Download Now", wait for 20 seconds and again click "Download File Now" link (purple link).

If you need further help, let me know.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

I can not download or remove or add any new programs or msn

There is another way of getting rid of programs in your computer other than going to your Control Panel's Add/Remove Programs menu. Try to locate the where the program is installed. If your computer has more than 1 partition (e.g. Local Drive C, Local Drive D, and so on), see which partition has that program. Use Search function from your Start menu (located on the lower left of your screen), click on All Files & Folders then 2 rectangular white boxes will appear. On the 1st box you type the name of the program you are looking for then click on Search button below. Once the results are displayed, right click on the listed program (it should exactly be the program you wish to remove, okay?) & choose Open containg folder. Once there, you can now manually delete each file & delete the folder itself. If there are files that Windows won't let you delete, try renaming them by changing their filename extension. This is especially true with files having a .dll at the end (those are driver files, they say). Change .dll into .txt then hit Enter key. If still you can't delete them after changing the filename extension, you may have to restart your computer & go back to those files to see if you can delete them already (they should NOW be deletable). Once all files & the folder containg it are gone, go to your Control Panel's Add/Remove menu. Click on the program you were trying to remove to highlight it then click Remove button. It should display a dialog box saying, "This program or the folder containing this program have been removed. Do you wish to remove it from this list?" Select YES.

I hope this will solve your problem. Let me know if it worked on your computer, okay?

Something has corrupted your Windows installation or one of the DLL files. This causes a conflict in your system causing the rest of your problems. Try Windows repair from the Windows CD to correct the problem and fix any damaged DLL files.

CANNOT OPEN DLL FILES

If you just want to see what the inside of a dll file looks like, you can use a text file viewer. Don't use an editor, because any change at all to the file will corrupt it (including word wrap, for instance). You can do a web search and find hundreds, but something like Large Text File Viewer http://www.topshareware.com/Large-Text-File-Viewer-download-11000.htm would do the trick.

Fixing Internet Explorer Javascript Links

Sometimes in IE when you try to open links that open in new windows, they don't open. At the bottom left of the IE window you will see a yellow triangle which indicates its a Javascript problem.
  1. Start » Run » Type regsvr32 /s URLMON.dll
  2. Then do the same but change the DLL names to the following:

    scrrun.dll
    Msxml.dll
    Mshtml.dll
    Shdocvw.dll
    Browseui.dll
    Msjava.dll
    Actprxy.dll
    Jscript.dll
    Vbscript.dll
    oleaut32.dll
  3. Restart IE and your links should be fine.
  4. Alternatively you can copy this in to a text file and save it as a batch file (.bat file)

    regsvr32 /s scrrun.dll
    regsvr32 /s Msxml.dll
    regsvr32 /s Mshtml.dll
    regsvr32 /s Shdocvw.dll
    regsvr32 /s Browseui.dll
    regsvr32 /s Msjava.dll
    regsvr32 /s URLMON.dll
    regsvr32 /s Actprxy.dll
    regsvr32 /s Jscript.dll
    regsvr32 /s Vbscript.dll
    regsvr32 /s oleaut32.dll
  5. This will re-register all the DLL files. All of the above are used by IE.
