There isn't anything you can do the gears inside that scanner I missaligned. I would suggest contacting the manufacturer and seeing if the unit is still in warranty. Those things are impossible to open up so you wont be able to fix it yourself.

Start of with obtaining a manual then, if you still cannot get it to work having follwed the book, post another query with as much detail as possible- any lights on/flashing, any noises like water going in (or not!) etc and we should be able to assist you further ;-0)
You will need to type into your search engine/web browser '(make model number) washer manual' and you should be presented with a number of sources from which you can either download for free or have to pay a nominal amount.
You could also try the manufacturer's web site direct ;-0)
If this has assisted you please consider a 4 thumbs up for the rating.
Thanks and good luck!
This link may not help you to print duplex, but it will possibly explain why you're having problems...Make sure you fan the paper before loading it. You might try putting a fan on it to dry out the ink as it prints...or try a heavier paper. Good luck! If you google duplexer feed problem you'll see this is the subject of numerous patents and attempts to resolve the very difficulty you are having.
(Maybe another of the same model would work better? Hp should exchange it if it's not working, no?)
I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread. If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!
There is a Windows Port that is being blocked. First make sure the IP it's scanning to and IP on the machine are the same. disable the firewall. I'm working on narrowing down the port now and will post as soon as I find it.
its seems as though you may have a sensor problem or dirty rollers which feed in your original document. Try this:
open up the cover where you feed in your original document and clean all feed rollers which are normally rubber rollers and make sure you dry them off.
also check for a little arm sticking out which is a sensor flag and make sure it is not damaged and also that it springs back up when pressed.
Can you please let us know the make and model of fax please.
Hope this helps.
i just thought i had the same problem... but you know how there are 2 buttons on the front of the printer once the paper output tray is down? the bottom of those 2 i think switches it back and forth between paper feeding from the normal, top spot, and from somewhere else, so you can try pushing that button! worked for me!
2 different problems here. 1st is with document feed and 2 is with paper feed.
1st prob seems to be with the paper feed roller not meshing at the gear. Probably a broken piece on the lower document tray assembly. No real fix for this unless you can strip it out and haywire it.
2nd prob is probably a poorly meshing drum unit. Examine the gear teeth on both the drum and the machine. As you have replaced the drum already (presumably with a brand new one) You might possibly find a missing or badly worn tooth on the messhing gear in the machine.
