Sony STR-DE135 fuse

Did you ever fix your receiver problem? I have the same problem--fuse blows every time I plug it in. I've tried a few different fuses. Let me know, thanks!

SOURCE: Sony STR-DE135: No audio output

first, at turn on you should hear a relay click then a few seconds later a second click. if you should hear the two relay clicks then check to see if you have both A and B speakers on, if you do shut B speaker off. next check the tape monitor switch make sure that it is off. if you should not hear the second relay click you have a problem with the unit and needs to be repaired.

SOURCE: I have a Sony STR DB930. Something happend and it

The fuse blowing is a symptom of something seriously shorted internally. What preceded the initial problem? Smoke is bad. Fire would be soon to follow without the fuse blowing. Take it to a tech.

Why does my cigarette lighter keep blowing fuses every time I plug something into it

First make sure you have the right size fuse in it look at your owners manual it should tell you what size to put in there sometimes people blow a fuse and replace it with a weaker fuse it will work for a while till they plug something in that overloads the fuse then blows and if they sell the car the new owners don't know this they just keep replacing it with same type fuse that's in it. Second make sure whatever it is you are plugging in doesn't have a short itself try plugging in something different and see if it blows then if it doesn't then you know where your problem lies.

Tv shut down replaced burnt fuse but burns again when plug into power supply. what should I do my mom is in her seventies and missing her programs...

i would replace the fuse again and try a different outlet to rule out an electrical problem with that particular outlet. if it blows the fuse in a different outlet it's probably time to retire that TV set it's hard to find anyone to work on them anymore because they've become obsolete due to the flat screens.

I turn tv on but screen dark. i think the fuse may blow up

First thing I'd check, is your TV on TV or input?

These are all the things that can cause a TV to lose video and what you can do to to fix it.

    • Check cable connections for tightness.
    • Make sure equipment is connected correctly and the digital receiver is the first equipment connected to the coax outlet.
    • If you have a VCR or DVD Player/Recorder connected between your digital receiver and TV, make sure it is set to pass through your digital receiver output to the TV.
    • If you have a digital receiver, make sure the TV is set to the input that the receiver is connected to ("cable" rather than "DVD" or "game console"). If using the RF output of your receiver, be sure the TV or VCR is on channel 3 or 4, depending on your market.
    • If you have a digital receiver, please reset the digital receiver. Unplug the box from the electric outlet, wait 15 seconds, plug the box back in.

"A fuse interrupts excessive current (blows) so that further damage by overheating or fire is prevented. Wiring regulations often define a maximum fuse current rating for particular circuits. Overcurrent protection devices are essential in electrical systems to limit threats to human life and property damage. Fuses are selected to allow passage of normal current and of excessive current only for short periods" ( I don't think that the fuse will blow up. I've had a fuse blow up in a speaker before, but that's because we increase the input to what a level it couldn't handle. In a TV, it's nearly impossible to blow up the fuse. What most likely is the problem is that something is broken or (if it's a projection screen) the bulb may have gone out. It's a simple fix, but takes a lot of time. The link below shows you how.

My sony receiver STR-DE135 is showing a protector message

Check for shorted speaker cables, or even a bad speaker. I'd start by disconnecting all speakers, see if the indicator goes out. If so, try one speaker at a time until you find which channel is bad, and then examine the cables carefully for things like a stray wire strand. Less likely, but possible is a shorted speaker. If you disconnect them all, and still have the protector circuit on, it's an internal issue, and you're going to need a technician.

Hi, I have only used my CA 740C a few times and the fuse blows, I placed another fuse in and that blew as well. Haven't a clue why this might be happening can you help please? Thanks

Looks like a electrical problem. Ensure your plug's earth is properly connected to the building earth. Amps like 640A uses sensitive circuits and the fuse will definitely blow, when there are issues, spikes or returns in the power supply.

Try shifting the amp to a different wall plug with some proper ground earth, and check it. If the fuse still blows, then the power cable in the amp may have some problems.

    Hope this helps :-)
