I guess that the power supply is faulty,look for bad caps.
If both power supply's are the same is easy to see when both sets are open.Compare the numbers on the print.
press the volume button,if it works press SELECT if not press TV then VOLUME again repeat this process of TV then VOLUME until it works then press the SELECT button to save the code to your remote.
