Question about Pioneer DEH-P6500 CD Player
I installed the pioneer deh-p6500 in my 1989 dodge ram van and the first 2 times that i started the van, the sound was excellent. the 3rd time all the lights came on the display, but no sound. if i turn the volume to max, i can barely hear sound. did i hook something up wrong or did the stereo burn out?
If it was working, then stopped, it may be a grounded speaker or speaker wire. If a speaker is blown, you may have damaged the internal amplifier. It will need repair.
You may have just hit a tone adjustment button like FIE or EQ where the settings at each frequency are changed based on the source you are listening to. If its not a big deal, pull the radio fuse and wait 5 minutes... or locate the reset button - usually behind the faceplate and start from scratch. This way you will know it wasnt a button pressed on accident
