Have a 737 zero turn with a 23 hp kawasaki. after warmed up under a load engine rpm's drop and does not pick back up until cold again. has been overhauled and governornor worked on. john deere cannot find the problem. what is the problem?
SOURCE: 20 Hp (kawasaki) John Deere GX255 tractor over revs when cold.
the engine is icing up. Kawasaki may have a winter kit available. I have solved the problem it the past on other engines by partial blocking the air intake screen with cardboard. Cut a piece of heavy card board the same size as the intake screen cut a few pizza slice shapes out and zip tie it to screen. remove in the spring. refer to owners manual if you are unsure what the air intake screen is.

Try adjusting the deck height up a little or start a the carb.

You have dirt in the fuel tank and it sucks the dirt up on the filter that is attached to the pump. After the machine stalls, the dirt falls off and it will restart and run for a few min.

My idea would be to replace the coil to that plug
