Jenn-Air oven shuts down after FC and F5 errors

Their was a good possibility that the solder could have been lifting of the contact points on the board, if the symptoms return i would check this, along with the said cleaning method :)

I'm getting an E1 f5 error code and my oven won't light

Hello,
The F5-E1 error code means that their is a problem with the switch on the self clean door latch...it (the switch) is telling the control board that the door is locked even though it may be open so it will not let the oven come on

I just replaced front control panel but when I turn on oven to bake it flashes an F5 error code. What is the problem. Could the new control panel be faulty?

This is probably because of a poor connection on the relay board, or a bad sensor connection. If the f5 error code was not the original problem (and just appeared since you installed the new panel) you probably did not connect the harnesses exactly right.

My oven keeps shutting off and displays an F2, F3 or F5 code. How do I fix it?

F2 Oven temperature too hot Replace relay board, if present, or oven temperature sensor (RTD). Check sensor harness. F3 or F4 Shorted or open oven temperature sensor (RTD) Check sensor harness and harness connection between oven sensor and oven control. Replace oven temperature sensor (RTD) if wiring is ok. F5 Watchdog and hardware conflict Replace clock (ERC).

Our Kitchen Aid Superba range has its door locked and the touch control panel is not working. The screen shows F5:E7 in the clock area. How do wee fix?

F5 - E7 Self clean latch will not unlock
1. If door latched:
  1. Disconnect power from unit.
  2. Check wires and connectors from control to door switch, then from door switch to control. If no damage to wires and all connectors okay, proceed to step C.
  3. Replace door switch.
  4. Re-apply power.
  5. Press and hold any key down for 1 minute to clear F5 failure code from memory. F2 will appear. Press CANCEL and observe for 1 minute to ensure operation is correct.
2. If door not latched:
  1. Disconnect power from unit.
  2. Check wires and connectors from control to latch switch, then from latch switch to control. If no damage to wires and all connectors okay, proceed to step C.
  3. Repeat steps A and B for door switch.
3. Measure door switch (door open = switch open small low voltage terminals). Replace switch if defective.
4. Measure latch switch (unlatch = switch open, CAUTION - oven light contacts are closed). Replace switch if defective.
5. If corrections are made in any step, reconnect power to control. Press and hold any key for 1 minute to clear R failure code from memory. F2 will appear. Press CANCEL and observe for 1 minute to ensure operation is correct.
6. If failure remains, disconnect power and replace control.
