Please define reboot. Do you mean it keeps powering on and off displaying the Garmin logo or does a window pop up saying it is powering down in 30 seconds? Did this happen after you tried to update the firmware or map?
The 1390t works with microSD cards. Your 8GB card is actually a microSDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it will not work in older devices. You need to go with microSD cards, 2GB and smaller.
Please follow the instructions below to remove the "Loader Loading" message from
the unit.

You need to press and hold the bottom right corner of the touch screen BEFORE you turn the power on. You only stop pressing when the reset menu appears.
Try a hard reset,the Hard
Reset procedure has been known to delete your Favorites, so back them up
beforehand.
From the Nuvi drive, copy
'/Garmin/GPX/current.gpx' to a backup location on your computer.
After the hard reset, copy your backed up
'current.gpx' from your computer back to the '/Garmin/GPX/'
folder on the Nuvi, but be sure to rename it 'temp.gpx'.
On the next power cycle, the Favorites will be
read from 'temp.gpx' into the non-user accessible memory area on the
Nuvi where they are actually stored.
Perform the
Hard Reset:
*Note that this will clear all user
selected settings on the unit
Power the unit off.
Press and hold (and continue to hold) the
bottom-right corner of the screen while powering the unit on.
Continue to hold the screen until the "Do you
want to erase all user data?" prompt appears.
Press "yes" and the unit will reboot. This resets
all your location settings and user preferences.
Then make sure the unit is fully charged, then go to the Garmin site and
register your product. Then download Garmin Updater and connect your
unit with a usb cable directly to your computer and not thru a USB hub.
Let the update go directly to the GPS and not a folder. It will take a
few hours even with a fast internet connection. I have attached a link
to the Garmin site. Thanks for using FixYa
This is weard sounding, I know, but it worked on my "non working" unit.....
On another forum it sayed to "hold your left thumb on the top left part of the screen, while you power the unit up from a USB power cable from a computer" and continues.... 'you must continue to hold your thumb on the screen until the linked icon shows up on the screen" After that let the unit charge for a while.
I did not try powering up whith my thumb on the top left part of the screen while in the car but hey... give it a try...
