if you have a sound driver, try reinstalling your sound card and restart your pc. in that case, you'll have your sound back.

No sound

I have found this to be a common problem with the E Machine towers. Your best venue is to purchase a new PCI soundcard for the audio output on the motherboard has failed. You can spend anywhere from $30 -$250.00 it's your choice but, that IS your best venue at this point.

My sound on the computer sounds like a mouse. I have sound but my headphones and speakers the person has a mouse like sound.

Please check the cable connection and sound card on the machine(it should not be loose).

Remove the sound drivers in safe mode and reinstall in normal mode.

(first check with manufacture for latest sound drivers)

While power on keep on pressing F8 -> Choose Safe mode -> Uninstall the sound drivers -> Reboot the machine and reinstall it again.

No soundfrom speakers-{usb]

1.)Try connecting your speakers to another machine ? Then you can distinguish if the speaks or the cable is faulty or your sound software on your machine.

2.)install the l8est drivers for your sound card or audio device

3.)try the front usb, sides or other usb ports

4.) If your speakers also have "Jack" connectors, either try plugging into another audio port at the back of your machine or try the front audio ports

5.) Are the speakers powered on ? Is the volume on the speakers muted OR is the sound in your system on your machine muted or turned off or turned quiet ???
