Problem for Panasonic (dmr-e20k) DVD-RAM Burner

Playing holiday video dvd ram on dell inspiron530

Have transferred my holiday movies and stills from camcorder to panasonic dvd recorder dmr-ex75 edited and burned on to panasonic dvd ram disc. can play back jpeg stills but unable to play back videos - works ok on dvd recorder. Am I right in thinking I can download a software patch? if so please advise.
