Check Breaker first, 2nd Check to see if washer is on a gfi receptcle. press reset. If this does not work send me more info on Cir. You might want to test outlet and see if there is power there. Storms can tear up app' s Hope its a simple gfi prob .

Electric went out. Why doesn't washer work?

If I take your statement literally, it would be easy to be a smarta** and say that the washer needs electricity to operate. But I am assuming you are trying to say that the washer doesn't work now that power has been restored.

That being assumed, there is a high probability that either when the power went down, or came back up, there was some sort of spike/surge that went through the electrical system. It is quite common. If unplugging and plugging the unit back in does not resolve the problem, and you are certain that the electrical outlet has power, then chances are that the electronics in the device were damaged as a result of the power loss. Contact a service center for diagnosis/repair.

Frigidaire Affinity Front-loading washer wont do anything

Check the wall socket with another electric gadget. Check your washer plug fuse. Finally open up the rear (after taking the washer power cord off the wall of course!) and disconnect and reconnect all wires and connectors one by one. Possible it could just be a loose connection somewhere. Sometimes happens due to vibration.

Click so pl if helped.

I was working on one of these machines one day with the same problem. I took the electric pump apart and found a shoestring in it.

My dryer has stopped heating completely. Worked fine for six years and stopped heating four days ago.

Hi,

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.

if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....

If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.

check out this electric no heat tip...

Whirlpool duet washergets a code 2 when it gets to spin cycle.wont rinse and spin

If the drain time exceeds eight minutes, the water valves are turned off and “F/02” is flashed. Press PAUSE/CANCEL two times to clear the display. NOTE: After four minutes the “Sud” error will be displayed, then four minutes later the “F/02” error code will be displayed.
1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked. 2. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 3. Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running. 4. Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects. 5. Plug in washer or reconnect power. 6. If the above does not correct the problem, go to step 7. 7. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 8. Replace the pump.

Washer wont work

Does the programmer move or make noises?

It could be one of four things
Faulty programmer (if it does not move or make noises)
Faulty Door lock, (try pushing the door firmly in)
The belt may be broken - If the belt is broken or come off of the wheel then you will be able to see this by removing the top. (always make sure that you remove the electrical plug before investigating)
The brushes on the motor could be worn down

Front loading washer door lock

It has not been resolved yet. It has been worked on twice now. It has a new electric panel (not sure what it is really called other than the brain) and part of the motor has been replaced. Now apparently the heater core is not working. The tech told me the heater core probably went out which caused the other 2 issues. I suggest buying the extended warranty if it is ever offered to you. My washer is only 9 month.
