    Ironically, the best way to begin hacking this thing, is to start with the web interface..

    http://192.168.1.1 (the preset default address, you can change this)

    If you have a static IP on your puter, ensure you are in the same "subnet", in other words; 192.168.1.something (if your whole LAN uses static IP's and they are *not* on that subnet, you can change the IP of the router to match your LAN, though you will have to temporarily flip your computer's IP to 192.168.1.3 to alter the router's IP to 192.168.0.1 (or whatever), oh the pain! but you can also create "virtual" ethernet connexions, serving multiple subnets)

    note: the 205, as supplied by BT comes insecure out of the box. I think BT imagined the ethernet port would be used only by XBox and PS2 gamers, or perhaps they wanted to drop in sometime. Anyway, the unit connects itself to your favourite ISP right at startup (remember this if you are trying to setup the 205 for different ISP, like Tiscali, or AOL (puleeze!) or whatever, you'll need to enter your login details before you connect the 205 to the phone line!) so first thing to set is..

    //");
    document.write("Advanced >> Security >> IP Filter")
    //-->
    //]]>

    Advanced >> Security >> IP Filter
    set this to "High", which is better than it was, but not a lot. Apply, and Save your changes. (the oddly-placed red save button appears on all the advanced pages) now you can breathe a little while you get this thing properly secure and working the way you want it to. after enabling the basic security, setup any other stuff you understand, save again, then go to..

    //");
    document.write("Advanced >> System >> Backup Config")
    //-->
    //]]>

    Advanced >> System >> Backup Config

    and click the 'Save Config' button, which will save the current configuration to your hard drive.

    this exported file is no more than a list of cli commands for the voyager router. with this list of commands, you can recreate your router's current state at any time in the future. make a copy of that file, and start adding to it. Later you can upload it to the router via FTP,

    I took this from the website I mentioned to you, it seems very informative

    more info please, there is a link that seems to be pretty decent on the problems that can occur with this particular router, why not give it a look see, and perhaps you will get the answer there bu merely filling out the info, and it seems there is a secret menu that it tells you how to access, I have set up hundreds of networks, but have never encountered that router before, The theory of course is or should be the same as a linksys, or a Belkin, but try that page and most times it's a lot easier to set up a wired connection first then it set's up and tells you to remove the cable, on lynksys, or belkin. Please let me know how you made out, Gym

You need a wireless router, if it's just a hub you are using, that won't work for wireless.

I have recently installed windows 7 to a fujitsu amilo li 2727

I have been through this myself, the software you are missing is called Launch Manager. Browse to Li 2727 on http://ts.fujitsu.com/support/downloads.html and download the drivers for vista, verified working on win7 ultimate. Install launch manager and the wireless + brightness hotkeys will work again without any further setup!

Wireless connection

You did not state which laptop model you have. Here is a list of the most common key strokes or switches:

Fujitsu Siemens Amilo A Series ---- Button above the keyboard on top right
Fujitsu Siemens Amilo D Series ---- Button above the keyboard on top right
Fujitsu Siemens Amilo K Series ---- Not Wireless
Fujitsu Siemens Amilo L/EL Series ---- Fn / F1 to turn on/off
Fujitsu Siemens Amilo La Series ---- Fn / F2 to turn on / off
Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Li Series ---- Easy launch button (one of 3) on top of keyboard

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe

To switch on the WLAN automatically at system start, please enter the following BIOS setting:
Open the BIOS Setup Utility by pressing [F2] after switching on the AMILO. Goto menu Advanced and change the option "Default Wireless Setting" to "Wireless LAN". Save changes and exit BIOS.
Now the WLAN adapter is enabled by default.

Wireless on switch

You must first detemine that your PC is equipped with a wireless adapter card, because even though it may look like one is installed, you may not have purchased one with the PC. It is common. Let me know I will assist you with this issue, in additon I need information like:
can you connect to the internet through a landline?
How old is your PC?
Have you every used it for wireless?
