Samsung ht-f9750w blur-ray 7.1 home theater came up an error Protection then shut down automatically.

The unit has DC Offset, meaning a damaged amplifier. This issue will not allow to unit to turn until the damaged is repaired.

When playing a DVD I get an error in the audio, as it turns automatically into headphone theater function andI don't know how to change it. Then after several minutes it changes again automatically

What does it say? I assume this is on the screen? It could be a jack issue, depending on how it's wired, but I'd guess about 10% if that. There is a display microprocessor(one of the computers in your unit) IC that controls the headphone, display and about 20 other functions(most of which are seamless to you). It could be a solder connection issue, as when a microprocessor IC goes bad, they generally don't "heal" themselves.

What is and how do I fix system error code:01

Hi Laura:
This code really indicates there an issue with the hard disk. Initially, I thought that there was some overheating problem, and I was able to get the system stabilized, temporarily, by putting a small desk fan next to the cooling ducts on the right side of the unit.

I suggest opened the unit, and check that the vent holes are positioned for optimal heat dissipation. The transformer and main capacitors are located on the front of the power supply board... which places them towards the front of the unit on the right side. The frame only has a single row of vent holes where these components are located... not towards the rear where the double row is. Making the design worse, the vent holes on the bottom of the chassis are not positioned where they would benefit heat dissipation. If you use a fan, it will need to be position on the right, near the center. The will blow cool air across the major power supply components and let the air exit through the bottom and left side.

Heat, however, is not the issue with an Error Code 01. This is a hard disk problem - probably some corrupted track or possibly the boot sector. It may even be as a result of excessive fragmentation. Of course, TASCAM provides no utilities to solve any of these problems.

System Error Code 01 does not necessarily mean your disk is fried and needs to be replaced by a new drive. If you can bring the system back up after a Error Code 01 failure, immediately begin trying to backup your data. If you can back up to the FAT, you can access these files by connecting the hard disk to PC, using Windows Explorer, and copying the files off the drive. With the drive connected to a PC, all the files in the FAT partition are accessible.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using Fixya, and have a nice day.

Sa-ht540 f61 i have removed both fans and cleaned them thorourly but im still getting f61 just befor it turns its self off is there anything els i can do?

You don't say if perceived heat or dead fans are issues.

F61 usually means the amp has detected a short or a severe microprocessor error.

Generally speaking, an amp attempts to protect itself from heat, shorts, overloads and operator exuberance by refusing to turn on or stay on.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output or marginally low impedance loading by the speakers; and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'nekkid'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced and competent hands-on tech.

My system turns off at random intervals. Some times its days (3 or 4) sometimes it seems like weeks.

Simoold,

These units are very heat sensitive and typically these issues are caused by overheating in the Bose unit. Check that it is not sitting on top of a cable box or other unit that emits exhaust heat.g

Thanks!

WMP 11 will _ONLY_ install on a "genuine" copy of Windows. The only ways out of the "PROTECTION" error: * start in Safe Mode, and use System Restore to go "back" in time to a date before the problem started; * reinstall Windows from *GENUINE* media.

I had the same problem. Also, the disc tray had issues opening if there was no disc in there. The problem was two fold... I think.

1) It was kinda dusty inside the machine and needed a good air can dusting. Get around the tray but be careful not to turn the can upside down and freeze components. I also ran a lens cleaner disc several times.

2) The tray top (only visible with the system open) was starting to warp... likely because the build up of dust was creating too much heat, also causes issues in reading discs... I created a make shift cushion that I taped to the top of the plastic tray that was depressed when the top of the machine was placed back on. This required several tests as if too much pressure was applied, the tray wouldn't open at all and I got read issues in the middle of playing a disc (possibly an alignment issue of the lens caused from the pressure). I finally got a good system where I occasionally have push the top with my finger to open the tray only if it was empty so my padding (made from gauze and gauze tape) was barely getting pressure. Again, this took about 30 minutes of trial and error to get it right. The heat and the displacement due to the warped cover could have caused read issues.

I don't know if either or both of these were the cause of the problem but I can safely say that I have no issues now and yes, prior to this, I slowly went from 100% reading discs to almost 0%.

Sorry for the winded response but this saved me from buying a new system and may save you. Good Luck!

I do not have an schematic for this item but from your complaint you must have the prossessor change.and your set will return to normal.WHAT HAPPEN IS THAT WHEN THE CURRENT PASSES THROUGH THE IC IT BECOMESW HOT CAUSING IT TO FAIL.
