GARLAND CONVEC. OVEN - CONVEC. NOT RUNNING

WE HAVE A GARLAND CONVECTION OVEN, AND WE ARE HAVING ISSUES GETTING THE OVEN TO RUN.  IT IS SUPPOSED TO GO ON AUTOMATICALLY WHEN THE DOOR IS CLOSED, AND FOR A WEKK OR SO IT WAS BEING TEMPERAMENTAL, BUT EVENTUALLY RUNNING...BUT NOW IT IS NOT WORKING AT ALL.  BUT THE FAN SEEMS TO WORK FINE IN COOL DOWN MODE.

What causes a duke E101 convection oven to not cook evenly?

If it's getting hot, but it isn't cooking as fast as normal, your convection blower/fan may be out. If you can hear the fan running, but the oven isn't getting hot enough, then you most likely have a heat element or thermostat problem.
Fan and blower problems tend to be a bit more common with convection ovens.

Fan starts slow or not at all.

This is usually an indication that either the motor capacitor is bad or the start centrifugal switch in the motor is bad or, possibly both. Spinning the motor bypasses the starting process. Capacitor are fairly inexpensive, I'd do that first. If start switch is bad, motor has to be replaced. Not a cheap motor either.

Model TE2B garland does the fan run to move

The fan runs to circulate the heat inside the oven for more even and faster cooking...That is how a convection oven works :)
