As in you cannot physically connect it? It should have come with a cable, probably USB, that you can plug into your computer. Also, make sure the drivers have been installed.

I don't believe the tape part is compatible,it's in Analog not Digital. If you record to the memory stick that is digital and computer compatible. The video cassette will need converting into digital just as you would a VHS tape. You will need to purchase a converter or take the tape to a photo shop. They can convert it to a readable disk for you.Sorry, that's a really nice camcorder. But it's not compatible with a computer as is.

Cannot find firewire port

There is no Firewire port on your desktop. The only thing I can tell is that you can purchase one and put it in yourself or find an expert near by and ask them if they will do it for at a low cost.

I want to watch video from my camcorder on pc. My camcorder has a 4 pin ieee firewire port. How many pins does the compaq presario sr1420nx have for its ieee firewire port? Should I use 800mps cables

You are on the right track. The best way to hook your computer to your camcorder is the firewire connection. There are 4 pins on the small connection on your cam, but on the PC the firewire connection is bigger and has six pins on that end. You should get the best cable that you have access to, because speed is everything when you are dealing with video, I would get the 800mps. Just make sure to check your connections on the PC and the Cam to make sure you get the right cable.

check the driver status of the firewall port of your laptop, also check while connecting your camcorder to the laptop, the connection setting of the camcorder

What connection do I need to connect my Canon MV940 to my Advent T9408(18 months old)

hi there
your gonna need a firewire card as i don't think your computer has one.
the camcorder should have come with a firewire lead, both can be got from a computer shop for around £20 in total. the card is easy to fit and can be done by you.
hope this helps
