The Sansa m250 requires a separate folder to load your songs to in order to achieve the full 2 GB. Set your USB to MSC. Plug it into your computer. Create a folder TUNES. Then drag and drop your mp3 or wma files to this new folder.
This may be the mp3 player that is wired badly. However, you may taking
the battery or disconnecting it from its power for 10-30 seconds. Also,
power down the computer
and wait for 10 seconds -30 depending on the amount of times the
computer has been shut down for the week. Try downloading its driver so
that the computer will recognize this hardware.
Same problem is mentioned in another location at this site. It happened to me too and nothing works. The standard recommendation is to take out battery and hold down power button for a minute or more, but that did not work for me. Everyone says they took it back which is what I'm going to do.
