Question about CyberLink SW- DVD Software Power DVD (SWPOWERDVD) DVD Drive

1 Answer

I have been watching vidoes on PowerDVD for a long time. All of a sudden I have subtitles that I cannot get to turn off no matter what I do. Do you have any suggestions? I have been able to control subtitles in the past. Thank you.

I cannot turn of my subtitles on my movies either for some reason. I have looked on the control panel on my pc as well and there isn't anywhere that they can be shut down there either.

How do I turn subtitles on for a movie

That would depend on the movie and on what you're watching it on. First of all, not all movies come with subtitles. If there are no subtitles then there's nothing you can do to turn them on.
If you're watching on a DVD, look in the main menu. If there are subtitles then you'll usually turn them on in the "Languages" or "Special Features" submenu.
If you're streaming the movie from some online source then you'll have to look at the menu provided by that source.

Have you tried going into your menu and turning subtitles off or your remote may have a subtitles button on it to turn subtitles on and off.

Hi, how to enable subtitles for DivX movies from USB on LG 42LE5500? I connect USB, TV recognizes folder where DivX .avi file is but within same folder it does not "see" .srt subtitle. Also, in settings...

It seems that subtitle file must have exactly same name as movie file. For example: Movie file: Mission impossible.avi Subtitle file: Mission impossible.srt or Mission impossible.sub or Movie file: Mission_impossible.avi Subtitle file: Mission_impossible.srt
