Toshiba ct-90325 remote will not work

I seemingly had the same problem, it just wouldn't turn on the tv or do anything for that matter so I popped the controller open to have a look and noticed that there was a small square box capacitor where the "cheap" metal that was making contacts with the circuit board had broken so I re-soldered the broken pieces and voila it worked. Cheers I hoped this helps some of you that have this same problem.

Power flickered during thunderstorm, TV wont come back on. heard little pop from tv when lights flickered.

Unplug it and take the back off. Look too see if the fuse right next to the power cord is black. Replace it. If it pops again, you have damaged the board and need a repair guy. Look for any burnt parts before replacing the fuse.

PANASONIC CT-36SX12 IT FLASHED ON, TURNED OFF, AND NOW DOESN'T WORK AT ALL

If you're lucky, the main fuse just opened up. It takes a 6.3 Amp slow blow type. Otherwise, it could be a defective voltage regulator and related parts in the power supply I would guess.

Won't turn off

it can happen due to overvoltage shutdown circuit. when voltage is too high, tv will shut down. it is possible that this specific model doesnt fit your local electricity network.
