Question about Acoustic Research AW-721 Consumer Headphones

I just bought these wireless headphones and i do not have a headphone jack. So these headphones came with a Y red and white cable which connect to the front of the televison to the audio, but i still do not hear any sound in my headphones. The TV is still blasting sound and all I hear in the headphones is static they have charged for 20hrs or more already. Do i have the hooked up right, the Y cable is suppose to make the sound come into the speakersI also cannot get any sound--not even the static mentioned by another. I am trying to hook up to a Scientific Atlanta 8300HDC cable box/DVR, Toshiba 32AV502U HDTV, and Toshiba SD-392SUE DVD/VCR combo--none of which can take a headphone jack, so I have to use the rear audio outputs.

NEED INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOOKING UP WIRELESS HEADPHONES FOR VIZIO TV

From the manual:

1. Plug the stereo audio cable into the headphone jack of your audio
source (e.g., stereo, TV, CD player, DVD, etc.). If your audio source
has two RCA output jacks instead of a headphone jack, use the
supplied Y cable to connect your headphones to the two (red and
white) RCA jacks.
2. Connect the other end of the stereo audio cable to the AUDIO IN
socket at the back of the recharging cradle/transmitter.
3. Connect the AC/DC main power adapter to the DC IN power
supply socket at the back of the recharging cradle/transmitter. Then,
connect the adapter to an electrical outlet.
Important: This power unit is intended to be correctly oriented in a
vertical or floor mount position.

I need ni-cad battery specifications for Acoustic Research AW-721 headphones. I bought replacement ni-cads but they don't charge when the headphones are placed on the headphone cradle/charger.

The AR AW721 headphones require 3 AAA NiMH batteries, not Ni-Cad. The original batteries are 1.2 volt, 550 mAh. I replaced mine with Energizer 850 mAh AAA batteries, which work well and actually last longer per charge than the originals.

Just bought the brookstone wireless tv headphones. I have a Westinghouse 40 inch lcd tv. I plugged in the rca red/white into the audio out and I don't get any sound into the headphones?

I had the same problem with Brookstone wireless headset the only solution I found was plug in the red and white connectors to your cable box it works perfectly that way. Just make sure the red cable connector from the transmitter is connected to right red input connector on the box. I have a Comcast cable box. Now I need a solution for them on my PS3?

Operating manual

After connecting all cables.... try channel 1 at the receiver... then move tuner up and down until the green light on the left headphone lights up and you can hear whatever you are listening to. If channel 1 doesnt work, try 2 and 3...... mine is set on CH3.

Good luck
