Question about Toshiba DKT3020SD Corded Phone
Sometimes the mute button is with the menu button or it has it own button. I would look on the phone and see if there is mute above a button. If it is above a button than that is the mute button when the phone is on. To make sure, I would call a friend then put it on speaker, then hit that button to see if that is it.

There is a speaker test you can do. Press the feature button then on the dial pad press 805 followed by the # key or the next key until you see speaker test in the display. Press the test key or the hold button to start the test. You should hear a page tone at maximum volume. Press any button to end the test, the volume will return to its previous level.
The phone is mute by pressing the handsfree/mute button(bottom left button). sometimes the button labels do not match the feature that is programmed for the button. Press feature * 0 and any button to see what feature is programmed on the button.
