Shatter-like image on right upper portion of screen.

Unfortunately this indicates that the LCD panel itself is cracked. This can not be repaired, only replaced. Call around to get a cost of the replacement panel. It would not surprise me to find that the replacement panel cost exceeds the cost of an entire replacement TV.

When you turn it in, do you get an image? And if it is the LCD screen ( not the front protected glass) then yeah you might as well junk the TV. The cost for a replacement LCD screen exceed the cost of the unit. Sorry about the bad news, just being honest. Turn the television, if the LCD is cracked, then you will see it right away when the television is turned on.

NO It is stuffed! Once the screen cracks there is no way to repair it, It may be possible to replace the screen, but this would probably be more expensive than buying a new TV.
it is probably the x and y panels
very expensive!!

a1electronic is right dale the cost is outrageous to repair. what you see is a bubble on your end is actually a crack in the screen. the film and protective coatings make it appear as a bubble. what i did with my 52 bravia was parted it out on ebay. thats really about all its worth now is parts. the lcds on these tvs are very sensitive and fragile just the slightest impact will get ya. i know how it feels, i had a 52 like it.
good luck!
