No, the display panel which is very fragile is now damaged and the part will cost more that the set did or a new one will cost to replace this one.

SOURCE: LCD TV Model LNS3238DX/XAA, S/N AFQ3CRL800704D, Version AM01

Unfortunately this indicates that the LCD panel itself is cracked. This can not be repaired, only replaced. Call around to get a cost of the replacement panel. It would not surprise me to find that the replacement panel cost exceeds the cost of an entire replacement TV.

When you turn it in, do you get an image? And if it is the LCD screen ( not the front protected glass) then yeah you might as well junk the TV. The cost for a replacement LCD screen exceed the cost of the unit. Sorry about the bad news, just being honest. Turn the television, if the LCD is cracked, then you will see it right away when the television is turned on.

SOURCE: glass portion of screen broken

NO It is stuffed! Once the screen cracks there is no way to repair it, It may be possible to replace the screen, but this would probably be more expensive than buying a new TV.

SOURCE: Sony Bravia LCD tv screen is broken

a1electronic is right dale the cost is outrageous to repair. what you see is a bubble on your end is actually a crack in the screen. the film and protective coatings make it appear as a bubble. what i did with my 52 bravia was parted it out on ebay. thats really about all its worth now is parts. the lcds on these tvs are very sensitive and fragile just the slightest impact will get ya. i know how it feels, i had a 52 like it.

good luck!

Unfortunately, you probably have damaged the internal structure of the lcd display panel...they are sensitive...the only way to repair this is to get a new lcd assembly

I bumped my screen now it has ligns running through it almost looks like shatered glass. Is there any way to fix it

Does it look like shattered glass or is it actually shattered? The problem you have mentioned can be possibly caused by loosened connectors between the main AV board and the t-con. It can also be due to loosened LVDS connectors(ribbon cables) that go from the t-con to the screen. My suggestion would be to unplug these connectors from the board and re-plug them. If you want to do it yourself then let me know and I will give you more detailed instructions.

LCD Sanyo screen looks shattered

The inner glass plate inside the screen is broken. The glass inside of these is very thin. I think it is only a few millimeters thick at the most.

The complete screen must be replaced to fix the fault. It will probably be cheaper for you to buy a new monitor rather than replace the screen!
