Yeah, well these is called "The Ring Of Death", which is pretty stupid, keeping in mind it isn't really a ring.
Anyways, out a towel over xbox 360 and leave it for 30 mins, then turn console off, then on
Something to try is just leave the xbox on for an hour, turn off let cool for 5 min. If that doesn't work, it's a difficult solution to recommend but the towel trick' does work, let it over heat the 360 for about 20
min, then let it cool for 20 more min, and it now works fine, I have a
inner cooler now to keep from overheating again.
make sure you are using the right cables and that if you have the HD cable you have set the switch to the correct setting.
If you are using the composite cable (red white yellow) try plugging it into a different port if the TV has it. If you are using component (red green blue) make sure the switch is set to HD.
