Red ring on X-Box 360 console

I recently purchased a new power adapter for my system. It worked for about a week and a half. Now my system is giving me the red ring. I tried to turn it on about an hour later and it worked. Then it doesn't work the next time I try it. What could be causing the problem?

Disconnect everything and reconnect it,if that doesn't work, try to hook it up in a different room. If you are still having problems, you need to contact customer support and may have to order a new power supply cord.

It may be your video output i.e. your TV. Check your console on another TV or projector. It shouldn't be your console's AV cable output if the audio works. (both audio and video come from that cable) I'm not completely certain you can solve it if it's your console, unless you send it in or pop up the case and mess with it (which is inadvisable). Give Xbox a call and they'll help you troubleshoot it- 1-800-4MYXBOX. If your still within your warranty years, and it needs to be sent in, you shouldn't be charged. Good Luck!

Xbox 360 red rings freezing

the red ring of death means you have a bricked XBOX.
something has gone wrong with the hardware inside, and you need to take it back to the shop you purchased it from, so they can replace it under warranty.this is not an unusual problem to encounter, but unfortunately, can only be repaired by qualified repair specialists. the best they can do for you, is either swap out the hardware and give you a new box, or they send yours away and you wait the 4-6 weeks for it to be repaired and sent back..

Xbox 360 won't work at all now

this sounds like your xbox is overheating. If you could try to run it in an area that has a lot of air that flows over the back. you could also plug in a usb fan on the back of the 360. note, if you continue to let the xbox overheat, this could lead to the rings of death which is three rings flashing. If that happens you have no hope. Hope this post helps.

X box 360 red ring

You can go to any Best Buy and go to Customer Service. They'll be able to look up if you purchased their PRP. If you did purchase this plan, they'll be able to exchange the unit for you on the spot.

Unfortunately, if you didn't go with the plan, you might have to contact Microsoft support and ship out the Xbox for a few weeks to get repaired.

X box 360 red ring of death costless solution

You don't need any money mate. Microsoft recently extended their warranty to 3 years for the three red lights problem. all you have to do is get in touch with microsoft and tell them about the three red lights, and they should either repair your X Box or they will replace it with a new one.
Good luck mate
