Question about Epson Stylus C62 InkJet Printer
Hi I have a Epson stylus c62 printer I have just recently bought a
continuous ink flow system for this which has been working great until the other
day when I had to do a nozzel clean after doing this a couple of times the
printer stopped working and now everytime I turn it on the red light comes on
and both green and red lights stay on and I have tried everything to try and
sort this problem but have now ran out of ideas of what to do there is plenty of
ink in the printers cartridges this is driving me crazy
Had a paper jam. Cleared it and the red light will not go off. Have turned C62 off and the back on. Problem continues.

If both lights are flashing, it means the Waste Ink Pads in your printer are saturated with ink and the waste ink ("protection") counter has exceeded its limit. The Waste Ink Pads should be replaced (see later). You can overcome this problem temporarily by using the SSC utility - download from
and reset the Protection Counter. This will stop the lights flashing and restore normal operation.
However, remember that eventually ink will overflow from the waste ink area and make a dreadful mess, so you must change the waste ink pads before this happens. This requires the disassembly of the printer. A copy of the service manual is available from a number of sellers - just Google "Epson C62 Service Manual". You will often find them for sale very cheaply on E-Bay.
If you decide to have a go at replacing the ink pads yourself, report back and I will provide further help.

Have you tried cleaning the nozzles? press the ink button for 3 seconds or do a clean print head from printer utility.
Hope this helps
