Question about GE 25865 Cordless Phone
I have a GE 25865 base unit with 3 GE25866 remote units in my home. The problem is they all seem to change the time by 3 hours and I can't seem to get it to stay on my local time. I have made sure all units are on the correct time, date, year, area code and the next day all are 3 hours earlier. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What is "Bell" and "Cogeco"? Did you change phone line provider companies? If so, you would need to ask them if it's possible to change. You are getting the information they are sending you. I do not believe the information is being altered by your phone.

I had the same problem. What worked for me, after several unsuccessful registration attempts, was to disconnect the phone handset battery for about 1 min and then reconnect the battery. Run the handset registration procedure again. It registered for me on the first attempt after the battery reinstall. Good luck.

Unfortunately that is the untold story about cordless phones they only have the capability of 1 open line be it the handset or or the base. There are some very pricey multi line systems, I have the same system bought two extra handsets and found out too late that I can only use them one at a time! Sorry probably not the answer you were looking for but thats the reality...

Please note that if you have a wireless router for you computer in you house, it will definitly interfier with the 27911's registration process. Make sure you shut you wireless router first, before you try to register to the base (27909) unit. That worked for me.
