Windows has crashed either because the media player you were using at that time is buggy - get another one - or itself is corrupted. In the last case the only sure way to fix it is to reinstall.
If you let your subscription to Rhapsody expire, you will get this message. If you didn't let your subscriptino expire then you will need to synch the files from Rhapsody itself back onto the player - the licenses have to be renewed once a year for some songs - once a month for others. If your subscriptino ever expires, you can no longer use the songs.
the most likely problem is a weak or failing optical pickup. try a cleaning disc first there may be dust on the lens. do not use any liquid to clean the lens. remember this is an optical system if it can't focus properly or "see well" it can't read.
1 Press and hold the Play button while powering on your player.
2. When the player displays the Creative logo, release the Play button.
It will display the following options:
Clean Up
Scans the player and removes invalid links from its music library.
Maybe you have the player set to random mode so its playing random songs in random orders. If so, press the round mode button in the middle until "RAN" in the top right corner of the screen is no longer displayed.
hi
first try unpluging the device for a half day and see if the problem repeats itself
the manual recommend to ask for a technisihion to repair the unit
before that try this:
take a can of compressed air with a narrow hose
open the discs drawer
try to locate the laser eye with some light
and clean it
it should do the job
good luck
i can't get the tray to spin it seems like it is frozen
