Re: touch screen of phone on my iphone isnt working
Looks like your iPhone may be damaged.
Have you dropped it?
What kind is it the IPhone-iPhone 3G?
If you can give us your serial number we at Apple will see what we can do.
To obtain your serial number go to settings click general and go to about the first part o the iPhone.
Thank You. Steve A

You may please keep in mind that iPhone battery may drain instead of charge if iPhone is connected to a computer that's turned off or is in sleep or standby mode. If you charge the battery while syncing or using iPhone, it may take longer to charge. About not showing the charging icon, please try resetting the phone by pressing the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button both simultaneously after which the phone restarts after some time with apple logo on the screen. -- MS Ramakrishna
To charge the battery, choose one of the options below:
Connect the device to your computer (not your keyboard) using the included cable to charge the battery and sync. Your computer must be turned on and not in sleep or standby mode. If the device is connected to a computer that's not turned on or is in sleep or standby mode, the battery may drain.
Connect iPhone or iPod touch to a power outlet using the included cable and a USB power adapter to charge the battery.
An icon in the upper-right corner of the screen shows battery charging status. If you charge the battery while syncing or using iPhone or iPod touch, it might take longer to charge. Note: If using a portable computer, make sure it is plugged into power and that the lid or display is open. If the lid is closed, the computer may go into standby, sleep, or hibernation mode and iPhone or iPod touch may not charge. Important: If iPhone or iPod touch is very low on power, it may display one of the following images indicating that the device needs to charge for up to ten minutes before you can use it. If the device is extremely low on power, the display may be blank for up to two minutes before one of the low-battery images appears. If you don't see the white charging or plug icons, your iPhone or iPod touch may be connected with a FireWire cable. Disconnect the FireWire cable and connect the iPhone or iPod touch to a USB cable or dock. that should be everything you need to know about charging an iPod Touch. I was in panic attack !!! did everthing and nothing seems to wake up my iphone.
I forgot to charge it so battery went full empty, then I plug it on the wall charger, and nothing happend. I let it all nite, and next morning,... surprise !!!!! still the red icon, No battery, the iphone didnt restart!!!!
How I fix it?
1-unplug it from the wall charger
2- press middle button and startup button, same time
3-when red battery dissapear, plug the charger.
4_ do this many times. Didnt work for me the first time, but at the end it works !!!!
NOW MY IPHONE IS WORKING GREAT !!!!!
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !!!!!!!!
I left my phone charging for a few hours and it appeared not to be charging as the battery icon was staying at 10% of charge. I was confused because it had the charging icon in the upper right hand corner. If your phone is doing something similar i simply powered the phone down and turned it back on. The charge went from 10% to 100% on the display. This is what worked for me hope this helps.
Ok. There is a nasty rumor that only the update affects iphones that are unlocked. This is very untrue.
Whenever you try to use almost every accessory that was made for an iphone, You will encounter this problem. As well, most of these products when you plug in your iphone will cause a message to pop up stating that the device is not compatible with an iphone. and will ask you if you want to put the phone into airplane mode. Though this option is available you now have a device trying to charge, and use an incompatible device. Hence the black out. I went through those myself with a ipod dock alarm clock.
Unfortunately, unlocking your phone, voids your warranty.. I will still try to to find a way to revive you iBrick but the outlook is bleak. Sorry.
