Power for battery on DELL laptop Latitude D610 as posted FixYa

Dell Latitude D610 laptop battery.

Thanks for input. However, am only able to run the laptop on AC at present and no lights from the charger symbol. Have used a new charged battery, which just runs down and doesn't recharge on this machine. Cheers P

In the BIOS, does it show the battery and it's current state? As weird as it sounds, I've fixed an issue like this on a D600 by updating the BIOS to the most current level. Weird, but true.

My dell latitude d610 ac power is work is properly but battrey is not charging plz tell me soulition.

If the D610 works when attached to the AC Power Cord, it is likely that your battery is not capable of taking a charge and needs to be replaced. I have 2 D610 Dell Latitudes and they are very good laptops.
Please vote if my information is helpful or not. Recommend me. Thanks UAW 974

The battery is usable, but will slowly decline.

The system has the option of a 2nd battery in the media bay (In place of the optical drive) but since you don't have one installed, it just shows the 2nd battery as an option

RESET COMPUTER

Never heard of a reset button on a laptop. Disconnect the power cord & remoce the battery for 20 - 30 seconds. That will dump the static memory.
