Lucent MLX-20L Extension Edit

Ok here is my problem.  We have a Lucent MLX-20L and cannot figure out how to edit the Names for each person with an Extension.  So, when you type in 800 it shows Fran, which we have no idea who that is.  We just want to update the Extension Directory so that it actually shows the names of the people that work in our office.
I have tried to look through those online manuals thru the companies website and all they show is how to program the actual Extensions on the phone itself, and not the actual extension names.

Need Lucent MLX-20L Manual

Every single manual is avalable from the Avaya website. The cabinet in the back room is either off-white or gray metal. If it's an off-white one, it's probably a Legend. If it's gray metal, it's a Magix. The manuals are HUGE. Most of my customers have an 8 1/2 x 11 Administrator's guide, and a little spiral bound set user's guides, both for the console and the MLX-28DP phones.

Search around your place and see if someone has one squirreled away.

Lucent Merlin Legen MLX-20L Phone

I have the Merlin Legend system. To change to auto attendant is an "administrator" funtion. From the main console, go into the administrator mailbox-enter passwords-go to the #3, which is automated attendant-press 1 for Day menu-press 6 to modify the menu. The menu "prompt" is what you want to change-the recording. If you no longer have an administrator or someone that knows the administrator's mailbox number and passwords, you will probably have to call Avaya and pay them the $650/hr they now want for remote programming, OR calla alocal person with Merlin Legend programming expertise.

Good Luck!!
