Question about Emerson MS3100 3-Disc CD Changer

Open Question

Emerson M3100 Hello! This player is a 3 CD player. They all mount on the front surface. One puts the CD directly on its "nest". A glass door closes down over them. I was able to help the situation by pulling out the head on which the CD rests, and straightening it out. It still makes some noise on that third CD but it now plays. I did the same for the middle one, and it did improve. I am not sure how kosher my technique was, but I did note that the nest floats with the rest of the assembly. If there are other things I could/should be doing, would appreciate knowing. TY Dave

SOURCE: Emerson 3 Compact Disc Player

Hi
If the machine cant read the table of contents of a disc this would suggest either the lens of the optical pick up is dirty or the optical pick up has failed completely or something directly relating to the optical pick up i.e the spindle or stepper motor, if you can easily acess the optical lens you maybe able to clean it using a cotton bud and re-test, just try this with a dry contton bud to begin with if this gives an improvement you may wish to use a cotton bud with a alchol cleaner like I.P.A,
make light circular movements over the lens. If this makes no difference the machine requires repairing, so consult a local service engineer.

Hello Is it possible to remove the glass door panels for cleaning? I can remove the door but I want to clean the glass panels separately. Many thanks Jill

With the door removed, I would suggest to lay it on a flat surface, look at the door around the edges. Normally you can see 2-3 screws around the bottom and 2-3 screws around the top edge. By removing them you can disassemble the door. Be-careful as you disassemble the door, pay close attention to how it can apart to reassemble when your done. This job should not require any special tool other then a screwdriver. Do not force anything back together. This should be about a 30-min job or less depending on the cleaning part on the glass. Go luck.. P.S. - it is glass your dealing with, some of the edges can cut you if handle in the wrong unsafe manner.

How to remove and install the driver side window (just the glass) on a 94 honda prelude

Hi!!
Here is how:
REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
See Figures 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6
  1. Remove the door pad and inner moisture barrier.
  2. If working on the rear window of a sedan, remove the two upper screws securing the center channel. Remove the two lower bolts (in the door) securing the channel and remove it. On some cars, the two screws are concealed below the weatherstrip.
  3. For sedan rear doors, remove the quarter glass. The entire glass and rubber seal may be removed as an assembly from the door.
  4. Lower the door glass until the glass mounting bolts are accessible. One will be easily seen in the large access hole in the door; the other will appear in the smaller, round access hole. Remove the bolts.
  5. Stand next to the inside of the door. Tilt the door glass and remove it through the slot.
  6. On front doors, remove the bolts securing the front run channel, then remove the channel.
  7. Remove the regulator mounting bolts and remove the regulator. On later models, there are additional roller guide bolts to be removed. Mark the roller guide mounting bolts to ease window alignment later.
  8. For power windows, remove the motor from the regulator if desired.
CAUTION The regulator gear will move suddenly when the motor is removed due to action of the large spring. Keep hands well clear.

Need to know how to fix cd draw not closing or opening by itself. Repair places in Brisbane, Queensland Australia

Hello, the most common failure part on that model is simply the belt.Remove the cover, near the front on the bottom is the belt simply remove it and apply alchohol with a qtip to the inside of it to restore its grip. Also to first open the door on the bottom is a slot ,simply put screwdriver in there(while its unplugged )and slide the bar over this will free the door allowing belt access. After belt is cleaned be sure to close the door by hand before plugging it in so it can retime itself.

Saturn Coupes/Sedans/Wagons 1991-1998 Repair Guide
Door Glass and Regulator - REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
(see Figures 1, 2, 3 and 4)
  1. Remove the outer door panel assembly. Refer to the sub-procedure under Door Locks, earlier in this section.
  2. For rear doors, loosen the bottom fastener of the rear door stationary window assembly, in order to provide clearance, then apply tape to the lower half of the outboard exposed portion of the stationary window channel. The tape must be applied in order to prevent damage to the paint surface.
  3. Lower the door glass, then use SA9148B, or an equivalent tool, to remove the glass nuts. Push the glass upward and rotate slightly, then remove the glass from the vehicle.
  4. If the regulator is also to be removed, proceed as follows:
    1. Remove the inner door trim panel. Refer to the procedure earlier in this section.
    2. If applicable, unplug the wiring harness from the power regulator.
    3. Except for the rear door, remove the regulator cam bolts.
    4. Drill out the regulator rivets and remove the regulator from the vehicle.
To install:
  1. If removed, install the regulator to the door assembly:
    1. Position the regulator to the door and secure using rivets.
    2. Except for the rear door, install the cam bolts.
    3. If applicable, connect the wiring harness to the regulator.
    4. Install the inner door trim panel to the vehicle.
  2. Install the door glass into the door and over the regulator studs.
  3. Install the glass nuts using tool SA9148B, or equivalent.
  4. Check the door glass for proper operation and alignment.
  5. If necessary, adjust the glass alignment. For rear doors, fore/aft adjustments are made after loosening the B bolts, while in/out adjustments are made when the A bolts are loosened.
  6. Except for the rear doors, glass which is not running parallel to the door header may be adjusted after loosening the inner panel cam attachment bolts and adjusting the cam. If the glass is floating in the opening, lower the glass 3 / 4 downward, loosen the front guide fasteners, push the glass rearward to seat it in the rear channel, then bring the front glass guide back to the front edge of the glass. Apply a light finger pressure on the guide and tighten the fasteners.
  7. Once the glass has been properly adjusted and is operating smoothly, install the outer door panel assembly.

Wall mounting emerson lc320em9 television

I don't know the model in particular, but most of these sets can be wall mounted if you have the screw holes for the mounting plate in the back of the set.

What I believe the tech was telling you would be that it is best to not wall mount the set. The reason is that we found that we have been seeing a higher failure rate from sets being wall mounted. This is because the surface of the wall reflects some heat back in the set, and thus causes it to internaly run warmer. This is also the same from running a set inside of a cabinet. The complete surface area behind the set being very close to the wall surface blocks cooler air circulation. It is best to run these sets on a stand that is out in the opened at least 1 foot away from any wall surface.
