Question about HP Compaq nx9030 Notebook
Suddenly my notebook usb ports decided to stop working. I have tested usb flash driver in other pc and they work perfectly. I have uninstalled them from Device Manager and restarted the notebook but the situation remain the same. Any problem from the registry? I don't know, but please try to help me how to fix this problem.
My OS is a Windows XP SP2, and I have the following programs installed:
Office 2003, NOD32 and Spybot Search & Destroy.
Could you tell me whether the USB ports are providing power or not....
i.e do you get any indication in your flash drive that it is getting power (a light or something)
If you are getting that then there is a problem with your windows installation. You might have to perform a clean format if there si no indiction of Power then there is a hardware problem and you might have to replae the Usb port or see the connections
Please do reply to the post and we will see if something can be done.
