Question about Magnum 257 CB Radio
Hi All Bought a Magnum 257 (second hand £70) for the front of the van to listen to when driving as usually i only work static mobile. I have found the radio to be a lot of radio for a little money and am quite pleased. The version i have is the newer blue screen version with the bank of 4 jumpers to put in 10mtr/11mtr etc. However the annoying thing is that the clarifier shifts TX and RX which can be a bit fiddly when driving. I usually find i have just got the station tuned just as they finish their call. Back to the help. When i bought the radio i am sure it had a six digit display and somewhere on the internet i found a page that showed how to press a couple of buttons and the display shows five digits like i am use to. However i did this before i found out that the clarifier swings tx as well. So i would like to revert back to the six digit display but i cant remember what i presssed and of course i cant find the web page either. My memory is not as good as it used to be but i am sure it displayed six digits. Maybe a dream who knows. Paul 26AT016
To tune frequencies in either 10 kHz or 100 kHz increments,
press the STEP button until the desired digit is
flashing. Rotate the FREQUENCY control in either direction.
The entire frequency range of the Magnum 257
can be stepped through in 10 or 100 kHz increments.
To tune in 1 kHz increments, press the STEP button
until the 1 kHz digit flashes on and off. Rotate the FREQUENCY
control. NOTE: When stepping in 1 kHz increments,
you are limited to tuning within a 10 kHz
