SOURCE: PHILIPS GO GEAR SA3125/97 MP3 VIDEO DRIVERS

it simply means that you haven't added any mp3 or video files... if ya want the drivers go to the link below....

http://rapidshare.com/files/119939557/klmcodec395.rar

after installing this file, go to your philips media converter and add the videos you wanna convert, and convert it... after that jus copy the converted video files to the "videos" folder in your player....

if you have added any files and still your player doesn't detect it, then make sure you've copied it to the right folder... also check if those files are compatible with your player... sa3125/97 supports mp3, wma, n smv media files... n jpeg images...

SOURCE: Philips GoGear SA2515 not recognized

You can repair your device using the recovery function of it. Unfortunately all your media content will be disappeared after this repair process. How to do it can be studied using this link:

You should simply do it all step by step.
I hope this will help you.

When i turn on my mp3 getting error as " connect to PC and repair through device manager"

If you have lost your installation CD, go to Philips website and download/install the most recent version of the Philips Device Manager for your exact model #. Then open the Philips Device Manager and select the "Repair" button (with your mp3 player connected to the computer, of course).

If the Device Manager does not recognize that your mp3 player is plugged into the computer:
Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab. Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions.

After repair is complete, upgrade the firmware for this player. Will erase all the songs, but you should be good to go again.

Triple Reset for Philips’ GoGear:

Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab. Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions.

After repair is complete, upgrade the firmware for this player. Will erase all the songs, but you should be good to go again.

Mp3 player won't turn on

Bad news for ya buddy - you don't want to defrag an mp3 player. It deletes key stsem files. You will not be able to reinstall the firmware even with a firmware upgrade, unfortunately. Time to call Philips and find out if you are still in warranty.

For good measure, try this:

NOT'''' RESPONDING

Connect your mp3 player to the computer.
Open the Philips Device Manager
Run the Repair function.
If the Device Manager does not recognize the player, connect the player to the computer (while the player is in the OFF position) while holding in the volume + button. Continue holding the vol + button for 5-15 seconds until a window pops up on the computer screen that says Found New Hardware Wizard. Follow the directions and it will lead you to do a Repair in the Philips Device Manager.

If this strategy doesn't work, your player is screwed. Call Philips and find out how to get an in-warranty replacement (or take it back to the store).

Philips SA3245/37 mp3 playet reads File system error and my computer does not recognize it

Do you have Windows Vista by any chance? Open up the Philips Device Manager, and click on "Repair" - repair the device. Then click on "Update" - update the firmware.

If your computer still won't recognize the player, then:

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

Not Recognized

First, go to the Philips website, and go to the FAQ section - there is a whole section on precisely this problem.

When that doesn't work...

Make sure you back up all songs on the GoGear before attempting this solution.

1) Back up all files on the GoGear
2) Open up Philips Device Manager (Start --> All Programs --> Philips)
3) Click on the Repair Tab, and look for a msg that says connect the player while holding the volume + button
4) Disconnect the GoGear from the computer and turn the GoGear off - hold in the volume + button and continue to hold it as you reconnect the GoGear to the computer; after holding the volume + button for up to 20 or 30 seconds, a window will open up saying that your device is being repaired (now you can let go of the volume + button); after the repair is successfully complete, your GoGear will be good as new

Now you can do the firmware upgrade that will prevent this problem from occuring in the future. Open up Philips Device Manager and click the Update tab. This problem was caused because most GoGear's were designed for Windows XP with Media Player 10 (which is no longer the latest standard).
