Question about Nokia 6300 Cellular Phone

Nokia 6300 hang ups, power shut off, high pitch sound

I have encountered problems recently with my nokia 6300. even if my battery is fully charged, the unit automatically shuts off, when i turn it on again, the screen turns white, blinks a few times, then shuts off again. When i receive text messages, it hangs up then shuts off. also, i could hear a high pitch sound for almost a minute, then shuts off.

i've already brought my unit to a nokia care center three times & they said it maybe caused by a virus so they reformatted my unit & the memory card as well...... & that i shouldn't restore my previous files in the cp. after my unit was reformatted, i tested it by not restoring & downloading the previous files, but i still encountered the same problems. I then brought it back to a nokia center, thinking that some parts may need to be replaced..... but they can't find what's really the problem, so they just reformatted again the unit & memory card.

I already got back my cp, & as of now, still encountering the same problems.....

My nokia 6300 suddenly shutdown,i change a battery but problem not solve and the phone dont power on.

If the battery voltage is good and there is no indication of the charger showing the charge going in then the hardware of your set is faulty. Please check with the Nokia serrvice centre for the cost or replacement and decide
But if the set powers it is quite possible that the software needs to be reinstalled .
Please confirm on this.

Nokia 6300 startup then hung at setting the phone time

hi, yes it possible it could be virus...Also, it could be that the phone and memory card memory is low...try delete some things you have downloaded on the that could be taking space on the phone...after which you restart the phone from factory settings...if the problem still continues afterward, then you need to scan for virus.
cheers

Nokia 6300 cannot be detected by my computer when

The PC seems to be OK. The phone switches off and hence can not be detected. You cant detect a dead device. Try a different battery. Or try using the charger while connectiong. If it does not go off then the battery is at fault. Change it. If nothig is detected faulty, then uninstall PCSuite . Restart the PC and re-install PCSuite without connecting the phone. When you connect the phone afterinstalling the SW, he phone will be detected immediately.

Battery problem

Hi mahek, time for a new battery I'm afraid. They don't last forever, and the symptoms you describe point to a failing batt. Thanks for using FixYa

Nokia 6300

This is software problem of phone. It is necessary to reflash it with fresh version of 6300(RM-217). Your phone is nokia BB5 platform phone and can be flashed by smart tools likes HWK, JAF and BB5 box. It is not big problem but only technician can do this job for you.

Sometimes this might be due to improper battery but i assume that you have checked it properly before posting problem. If not here is checking solution---- Let it be charged and try to power it on, If gets power on then it is battery problem otherwise it will be software problem (even if doesn't get charge). Is it fixing your mind then do vote to FIXYA.....
