How to Solve Cannot Scan Error or No Scan Options: Refer to device documentation to troubleshoot
1. Click Start , 2. Click Run and type Msconfig and then click on ok Will show the new screen of System configuration utility 3 Click on startup option 4. Search the list for HP Digital Imaging Monitor . 5. Select the HP Digital Imaging Monitor check box. 6. Click Apply , and then click Close . 7. Click Restart to restart the computer.
*Note : If HP Digital Imaging Monitor is not on the list, it means the driver was not correctly installed. You need to reinstall the software.
Kindly install the scanner software for printer the driver software cd just re install it will install the scanner software and make sure in device manger there is not other usb device listed if it is there just remove it. And refresh it in will automatically install the driver.

You need to have it connected to a computer with the scan software running. The scan options are in the computer. It tells what type of document to scan, how to save it, JPG, PDF, etc. and where to send the scanned image.
In order to scan, you need to be connected to your computer with HP scanning software running. No scan options means it needs to know where to scan to, what format to save in, and what to do with the scanned image. If you want to copy, you just copy, but scanning requires software on your computer.

This happens mainly when you try to scan from the printer ; Always try to scan from HP solution center but still here is the resolution: Open Hp Solution center Click on Settings Click on scn settings click on Scan to Setup Select all the option available to updrade the Front panel menu list and click on ADD Click on Update; Restart the computer and the printer and try to scan. It should resolve the issue.
