Question about Televison & Video
I have owned a 95VEBS for 13 months without any problems, until recently. The picture freezes and I get an error code of U081. Sometimes I maintain the sound with a frozen picture and sometimes I lose the sound.
Other times I get a series of multi coloured lines across the screen.
I shut it down and restart and it may be OK for 5 minutes or 20 minutes, then it stops again, with the same error code.
Any help appreciated.

It may be possible that the power supply, display and or logicbpard may be having issues. Apple recommends resetting the pram and nvram. If issue persists reset SMU. YOur machine is 6 months outside of the original warranty, but if you purchased the 3 year extension plan, you may want to take action on it.
Keep me posted.

I just called 1-800-samsung & choose the parts dept.
For the replacement lamp it cost $149.99 plus tax & shipping .
My total was 167.08 for Fl. You give them the lamp code ( red sticker on the side of the tv) , they send it out 5day shipment.Local tv repair services can install it for an installation fee. This will save money apposed to ordering through a tv repair shop who charges an order part fee plus etc...

I had this code (f09) on my Panasonic DVD VHS recorder. After seeing that it meant overload I took the cover off to look for burnt out components. I found that an electrolytic capacitor had bulged (look up capacitor plague on wikipedia). I replaced the capacitor with one of a similar value from an old power supply and it worked fine.
