Several months ago, pc crashed, so of course, had to reinstall everything. Havent used scanner since. Tried to use it today and got the two following error messages: filescan has caused error in KERNEL32.DLL & filescan has caused an error in scaneasy.DS. I went to Microtek's website and downloaded approptriate driver, but still getting error messages. somebody?

- My variant is that software reinstalls but message says computer cant communicate with scanner. 'A TWAIN error'. Worked perfectly when first installed but will not when reinstalled. Have tried deleting/uninstalling several times, including manually in registry but nothing works.- Lisa-MaryaSolution #1

Have you tried uninstalling scanner software, then reinstalling the scanner per the instructions in the scanner manual? It's the most commong method of getting the computer to 're-recognize' the scanner correctly.
