Re: hi, from mexico n800 problem
Are you sure it's the right charger? The charger is not supplying enough "juice" to keep the N800 on when it turns on. Once it turns off, it charges enough to try and turn on again... hence the endless loop of power cycling.

I had the same problem with the n810. I was using a non-oem battery and the connections were a loose fit causing the battery not able to charge. If you take the battery cover off, hold the battery firmly in place. Connect the charger and make sure battery is charging, then press the boot button. If it boots and stays on, then shuts off when you stop holding the battery. Then you probably have a loose connection or a bad battery. Also try cleaning the connector with a pencil eraser and alcohol. I had to wedge tthe battery in place. You can find a spare battery with a desktop charger on Ebay for around $10US.
No, PC internet connection is not shared with N800. The only way to connect to the internet without a wifi signal is to pair your N800 with your cellphone (if it's GPRS and bluetooth capable) and share the GPRS connection. You can do it with the connection manager of your N800
You must use the N800 connection manager and connect to your phone with bluetooth. You need to pair the two devices. then, you must connect your phone to a GPRS and use your N800 to browse the internet.
