You should have two filters. one you can unscrew .its a smaller round looking filter right under the bottom spray arm .once removed you just pull up on the flat filter that lying on top of the sump area

Hello,
It is not the easiest thing to do,here is what you have to do;
turn off power supply and water to the dishwasher
remove screws mounting d/w to counter top
remove lower panel
disconnect water and power from d/w
lower legs
pull out from under counter
remove panels covering door hinges
remove linkage from door spring to door hinge
remove the Torx screw securing tub to base frame in the front&rear
pull on base frame to seperate tub from frame about 8-10 inches
remove drain hose from drain pump/install new hose
reassamble in reverse order

Water in bottom of bosch dishwasher will not drain. How do I get this water to drain

Hi

Dishwasher not draining issue occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. Check the drain hose for any visible clogging, remove if present. If no visible lint is present then remove then turn off the dishwasher and remove the drain hose and check for any visible clogging. If still not visible then the drain filter or drain pump is clogged and you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump. To access the drain pump, please follow the procedure---
1. Drain pumps are mounted to sumps in the front of dishwashers --they're easily accessible from the front of dishwashers by removing toe kicks.
2. Tools needed: small flat blade screwdriver (for unlocking terminals).
3. Remove toe kick/base cover, pull up terminal cover and disconnect wires (using screwdriver to unlock locking terminals).
4. To remove pump, pull latch (on circular collar) & rotate pump clockwise (cw).
5. To install new pump, insert @ 2:00 position & rotate counterclockwise (ccw).
6. Clean water & debris from base, then check float operation.
7. Connect wires, then install base cover & toe kick.
Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

Bosch model#shu9956uc pump continues to run even with door open?

There are a few possibities...
if you remove the lid and take the two t20 screw off the left side panel at the front you could check the pressure chamber and its hose are not blocked. Use the link and go to page 4, part 0426 and 0424. You can also remove 0418 (remove t20 screw via the sump after all filters are removed) this will expose the pump impellor and you can check for any obstruction. If the d/w is connected via a sealed spigot to the sink, remove the grey hose and unscrew the spigot adaptor from the sink and ensure there are no blockages. There may be water in the base of the d/w (base as below the tank, not under the filter) this will activate the flood safety, so check valve, hoses etc for leaks. You will have to manually clear the water from the base pan to deactivate the safety device. Sit the front of the d/w on a large towel and tip the whole unit forward, the base water will then come out. Whilst you have the side panel off, check that the red rod connected to the pressure chamber is not activating the microswitch.

ps I appreciate that this link is not your model but the part placing should be similar.
I hope this helps, Good Luck.

Dishwasher doesn't run there is a hummmimg

There are a few possibities...
if you remove the lid (no screws on lid, there are two clips at the rear, release them and the whole lid wil slide back and then off) and take the two t20 screw off the left side panel at the front you should check the pressure chamber and its hose are not blocked. Use the link and go to page 4, part 0428 and 0426. You can also remove 0420 (remove t20 screw via the sump after all filters are removed) this will expose the pump impellor and you can check for any obstruction. There may be water in the base of the d/w (base as below the tank, not under the filter) this will activate the flood safety and give the scenario you have described, so check valve, hoses etc for leaks

I appreciate that this is not you model but the parts should be in the same position.
Best of luck. (check the pump first as I think this is more likely from description.

Dishwasher won't drain. It continues to try to drain after the cycle is over (can hear the pump running). Maybe water in the safety pan?

Where is the float on bosch silver edition?

Hi, This model could well have two systems that will let it fill. One will be on the left hand side as you look at the dishwasher which will require you to remove the side panel. Start with this first as if it is the later version then it will be in the bottom of the dishwasher which will require you to remove the side panels to get to it. The switch in the first method will be a small micro swith and the other will be a large pressure switch located in the bottom. I would think it will be the first method.
Look at it and let me know how you get on.

There is no easy repair on a Bosch dishwasher. I guess Bosch figured it would run forever. To replace anything (except the wash motor start capacitor) you will have to remove the dishwasher, flip it upside down to do most repairs.
