Something has slipped behind the bottom drawer, a flimsy cutting board. Can the drawer be removed and how?

The drawer is easily removed. Make sure you switch off the power first and I always unplug just to be sure.
9.1 Drawer Front Removal
9.1.1 Slide open drawer.
9.1.2 Locate draw pin on either side of the tub. (These are white plastic pins, about 1.5cm diameter. You can't miss them.)
9.1.3 Using a sharp pair of long nose pliers or slip jaw pliers grasp the center dividing web of the pin and pull away from the tub to remove the pin. Support the drawer front with your hand while doing this.
Note: The pin web is vertical.
9.1.4 With both pins removed the bottom of the drawer front can now be eased out slightly.
9.1.5 Now carefully pull the drawer front down to allow it to come free from the handle and top locating slots.
9.1.6 Carefully remove the earth wire from the tab on the drawer front. (if it is an integrated model you will also need to unplug the integrated badge from the isolating module)
9.1.7 Refit in reverse manner ensuring the drawer slides are right forward and the pin secures through the hook on the front end of the slide.
Note: When reinserting the pins make sure the dividing web is
vertical.

9.2 Tub Removal
9.2.1 Open the drawer fully.
9.2.2 Depress the right-hand tub clip and push it back about 30mm (1 inch). Repeat for the left-hand side. These clips are on the runners and are usually white plastic.
9.2.3 The tub may now be lifted up off the drawer runners. It's amazing but the drawer simply lifts out.
9.2.4 Slide both runners back into the product.
9.2.5 Refit in reverse manner.

I am trying to scan slides with Epson Perfection V500 Photo...I placed the slides in properly and press the scan button on the scanner. It scans the row of slides as they appear on the scanner bed. But...

You have to have the plastic slide holder (positioner) placed perfectly. Look at the "A" and "C" tabs on the plastic holder. If they don't position your slides over the center of the glass, you are using the wrong tab! Slides have to be back-lit, which is what the top cover does. It doesn't light up the sides of the scanner glass, only the middle.

My scanner sometimes crops a particular slide but not others. Some scan ok. What is going on?

Be sure to put the slide in the holder in the proper direction. The opening in the slide holder is rectangular, not square like the slide. If you place the slide in the holder horizontally and the holder window is vertical, it will crop off the sides of your picture.

I cant open the remote to put the battery in it shows an qarrow and says slide, but it wont move

Hi there,

Most remote control battery covers open in the same manner, although it will say slide in the direction of the arrow it will also require a small amount of downward pressure on the battery cover as well usually at the top end of the cover ( If you hold the remote with the arrow facing from you it will be the nearest end of the cover to you ). This is because on the underside of the cover there will be one or two small hooked clasps moulded into the cover that lock the cover into position the the remote control stopping it from just slipping it off and getting lost. The downward pressure on the battery cover disengages the clasps below the body of the remote, allowing the cover to then slide free giving you access to the battery compartment.

Hope this helps,

James

How do I replace drivebelt on sankyo dualux 1000 projector

Inside parts:
Small belt wheel (SBW)
Large belt wheel (LBW)
Motor Assembly (MA)
Fan Blades (FB)
Fan Blade Cover (FBC)
Make sure you have magnetic screwdrivers.
Remove MA - 4 screws.
Remove FBC - three screws
Loosen LBW and slide down shaft a small bit away from end. Need small Allen wrench.
Slip new belt around LBW (takes some fiddling).
Put LBW back to previous local and tighten.
Reattach FBC.
Put motor in place.
Stretch belt over FB and onto SBW. (It will make it.)
Screw in motor.
Good luck.

Pump works. Spins when empty/no load in tub. clutch slips when loaded

If the drive belt is slipping during the agitate and both spin cycles for loaded conditions, I suspect that the drive belt is excessively worn. If it slipped only during a loaded spin cycle, I would have suspected that the sliding motor mount is gummed up and not moving to a belt tighten position during the start of a spin cycle. Since the unit drains with no problem for loaded and unloaded conditions, the pump belt should be OK. Replace the drive belt and clean the dust, gunk, detergent, etc, out of the sliding mount to make sure that it tightens properly when a loaded spin cycle starts. Note that on most models, the drive belt is designed to slip when spin cycles first engage, and they will continue to slip until after the drum has accelerated.

How to scan negatives & slides with the epson RX620

There are holders for the slides and negatives inside the top cover. Remove the white part and take out the holders. Place the slides or negatives in the holders and place on the glass plate. Then you choose the proper menu for copy or scan and follow the directions on the screen. I scanned quite a few slides and had no problem.

Will not scan photos, only slides

Where are you scanning from? Do you get an error? If scanning from Toolbox, check the box that says to use ScanGear or use the Scanner driver. Then make sure it is not set for Film as the select source.
