- Kenmore 665-16293400 .Figures it three days til Christmas and we have 20 people coming. Green light on front (on right) flashes 7 times, pauses for a couple of seconds and flashes 7 times etc. Machine will not work on any cycle. If I choose a cylce (ie. normal) and press the start button, the start button flashes a couple of times and then stops. Nothing happens. I have turned off breaker, thinking this may restart but it just wont stop flashing and wont start working. Is there a code to restart?- stormer667

Ok got the solution from a very friendly rep at Sears. She was all excited because she has been out of telephone support for 2 years and just came back and remembered this problem from her earlier days. Her solution worked and she is now my favorite person in the world. Five stages...read them forst then execute!
1. Press Heated Dry 2. Press Normal 3. Press Heated Dry again 4. Press Normal again. At this point all of the lights on the dishwasher will illuminate. Now, the final stage is 5. Press Start. Worked like a charm
