I have a Playstation 3. Starting tonight, everytime I put in NBA 2K11 the game will load to the main screen and ask me to press start. Everytime I press start me game freezes and I have to restart my...

Yes it will delete all your saved data.

You want to keep the data, so you need an external storage device (memory card, flash drive and so on). Copy the data on the device. If anything happens to the PS3, you still have your data on the device. When you restore the PS3, you can put back the data.

Keep us posted.

An error occured during delete operation (80030001) ??? can you tell me what this means, i cant delete it. the game is call of duty black ops.

The description of this error is that your PS3 encountered an error which may have been caused by either a lack of enough memory or system file corruption.
Please try
1. Rebooting your PS3 to see if you receive the error code again
2. If you receive this error again, enter safe mode and select "Restore File System" - To learn how to put your PS3 into safe mode, please go to http://us.playstation.com/support/answer/index.htm?a_id=1488
3. If you continue to have issues, enter Safe Mode and select "Restore PS3 System". Please note that this will erase all data from your PS3 and it's recommended that you backup your files before preforming this step. My playstation does not read memory hub

Hello,

You can try the steps below. Its from PlayStation Forum:

1. Turn off Playstation®3.
2. Hold the power button down; the system will turn on and turn off once again.
3. Once the System has been shutdown, re-press you finger until you hear 2 consecutive beeps
4. When you hear the 2 beeps take finger off power button.
5. You will be prompted to plug in your controller via USB and then hit the PS button
6. The Recovery menu will pop up.

The current Recovery Menu supports:
• Restart System: Restarts the PLAYSTATION®3 System.
• Restore Default Settings: Reset all system settings back to default.
• Restore File System: Checks for corrupt/missing system files.
• Rebuild Database: Rebuilds the OS for the PLAYSTATION®3.
• Restore PS3 System: Fresh restore; Deletes everything and starts from Scratch.
• System Update: Update the PLAYSTATION®3 System

If the above steps still does not solve the problem, then I think will have to update your Ps3.

Update your PS3 (in the settings menu the 1st option).

Go on the internet browser on the PS3 then go on the menu press triangle then on one of them there are delete cookies and the delete the others as well as cookies.

You could also try this as well: put the PS3 on then press the eject button (with no disc in) then hold it and switch the PS3 off at the back with your finger on the eject button still holding it, then put it back on and the fan test should be working this may cool it down. It might be over heating.

If after trying the above options and it still does not solve the problem, then maybe the lens is weak and that's why it cannot read any disc.

But if your problem is not still solved, then maybe you should call sony for further assistance.

I wish you good luck.

When I deleted home on my pS3 I got corrupt files

  1. Insert the PlayStation 3 memory card that has the corrupt file into the memory card slot of your PlayStation 3 console.
  2. Step 2 Turn on the PlayStation 3 without a disc in the console or with the loading lid open. A menu screen will then appear on your television.
  3. Step 3 Scroll through the options of the main menu using the down button on your directional pad and press the "X" button when you get to the "Browser" option.
  4. Step 4 Click on the icon that shows the memory card that you inserted by pressing the "X" button. You will now be able to view all of your memory card files. Locate the corrupt file and click on it with your "X" button.
  5. Step 5 Scroll through the list of options that appear and select the "Delete" option by pressing your "X" button. The file should now be deleted. Restart the PlayStation 3 and go back to your memory card to make sure the file was deleted.   NOTE WITH THIS IT WORK PROPERLY....

I think that it´s not possible to recover Ps3 deleted files...cause sony uses a proprietary partition volume, maybe with a linux recover software you can try, backup all your files before format your hard drive...restore the system and it´s ok...
Good Luck !!!
