I finally figured it out! The rack supports actually come out also. Not just the sliding supports, but the whole metal part with all the supports on it. At first I thought they were bolted in, but I read somewhere that they come out, too. Upon further investigation, I found the rack supports just slide into the side walls at 4 points. I had to use a little force to pull them out, but they came out and my oven is self-cleaning as I write this. I just thought I would share in case you or others haven't figured it out yet. Now I will just have to see how hard it is to get them back in....

I was getting the remove rack error until I finally figured out what it wanted me to remove. When I try to use the 'clean' function it tells me to remove my racks even though they already are removed. Today, I'm trying to heat the oven to 350 and it's been over an hour and we are at 129.

That message is just a reminder to remove the racks. The oven cannot sense if they are in or out. Since you did not post the model number, it is not possible to offer any other info

Message to remove racks when trying to self clean, yet all racks have already been removed.

Hi,

This message is a reminder to make sure the rack are removed only. If they are removed then continue with the self clean cycle. Good Luck

How do I clean the electrolux oven? It won't start after i take the racks out

As you did not specify the exact model I assume that this is a self-cleaning oven, in other words with pyrolytic cleaning. It has a microswitch which is activated by removing the racks and just because that you can not run the pyrolytic cleaning otherwise racks would be destroyed. Do not forget that the temperature during pyrolytic cleaning is app. 500 degrees Celsius. For that reasons the oven door is locked when temperature increasing to app. 300 degrees and unlocked when the temperature decreasing to the app. 200 degrees. It is clear that when you remove the racks only program that you can run is pyrolytic cleaning.

Electrolux Icon range won't self clean - "Remove Racks" displayed

Good Morning Friend,

I understand you are unable to self-clean your Electrolux Icon range, model# E30SO75ESS, due to it stating "Remove Racks", when you already have. Please follow these instructions for cleaning your oven:

1. Remove the turntable from the oven before the Refresh Cycle. No food should be in the oven.
2. The Refresh Cycle is 30 minutes.
3. During the Refresh Cycle some smoke and odor may occur. Open a window or use the ventilation fan in the room.

If this does not help, I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging your appliance or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Restore power and try the "Refresh cycle". I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

Electrolux Icon Oven self cleaning won't start- the lock button keeps flashing. Yes, the racks and rack holders are removed.

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that you are having trouble with your Electrolux Icon oven, model# E30SO75ESS, and running the self-clean cycle. I see that the lock button keeps flashing and that you have the racks and rack holders out. I suggest following the steps below to run your self-clean cycle:

    1) Place the rack holders and the racks in your oven.

    2) Reset your appliance, by shutting the power off at your homes circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes.

    3) Restore power.

    4) Reset the clock, by pressing the "Clock" button then press the number "2". Enter in the time of day, and then press the "Clock" button again.

    5) Start the self-clean cycle with the racks in your range. This is to make your oven recognize that the racks are in the oven.

    6) Take the racks and rack holders out and start the self-clean cycle again.

I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your oven status has changed successfully.

Self oven cleaner

Hi Debbie, this is AP

I understand you are having trouble getting the self-clean mode on your Electrolux ICON wall oven to start. On this model, E30EW86GSS, you must remove the rack supports in order for the self-clean mode to start. To remove the oven rack support for
a self-clean cycle, pull up the support to disengage them from the brackets. If the rack supports are not removed, the self-clean cycle won't start. If you find that this does not resolve your concern and you following the self-clean instructions precisely I would recommend contact a local authorized technician to inspect your wall oven. I you need assistance locating a technician please visit the manufacture website for additional information. I hope this information helps to some degree - thanks for your question, and please do not hesitate to reconnect if you have additional information regarding your question.
Thanks,

I have an Electrolux icon floor model. I set it to clean after pulling the racks, the lock light came on but nothing happened. I left it for about 15 mins and still nothing. I turned off the clean cycle...

On the E30EW85ESP3 model I had to pull the racks "and" the supports mounted on the side walls. Otherwise it would not allow the clean cycle to begin. Hope this helps.
