Is it plugged in or is this only running on batteries? It can be that the battery is running out and it is not giving you a warning since it is probably not set up in the properties?

How did you clean your fan? How much stuff was in there?

The problem you're experiencing sure sounds like a thermal shutdown. Try using compressed air on both the fan's intake and outtake.

Do you know for sure the fan runs?

If that doesn't solve it, you may have to pop the case and see if you've got a physical break in teh cooling system between the fan and the CPU.

The kind of cleaning and inspection is something just about anybody can do, if they have a few tools and patience.

How do i enable my wireless connection on my lenovo 3000 N100

The wireless switch is at the front side of your Lenovo 3000 N100. (see pic.1). Press Fn+F5 to confirm if your wireless switch is on. If required, switch on the physical switch for your wireless connection.

I hope this works for you. Kindly reply for further assistance. Good Luck!

Lenovo 3000 N100 0689 hangs at boot up .

If you have a rescue disk or a System Disk that came with the laptop, use that and try to recover the system....boot using that and do a recovery....
Else you may have to re-install the WinOS

Matshita DVD-Rom in my Lenovo 3000 N100 is not detectable.

Note Before you use this method, uninstall all CD or DVD writing or recording programs. Guided Help can delete the corrupted registry entries for you. However, deleting those registry entries might cause problems with any other CD or DVD writing or recording programs that are installed on your computer. Uninstalling these programs before you start will help you avoid any problems that removing the registry entries might cause. You can reinstall these programs after the problem is resolved.

1. Start the Registry Editor.
- Click on Start -> Run. Type regedit.
2. On the Registry Editor, expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.
3. Expand System then expand CurrentControlSet
4. Expand Control then expand Class
5. Under Class, click {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}.
6. Look for UpperFilters and LowerFilters.
- You might only find one of them, just delete it.
7. Just hit yes on "Are you sure you want to delete this value?"

Restart your computer. After you have done this, try to access the CD or DVD drive. If you can access the CD or DVD drive, and if you do not receive an error message, the problem is resolved. You can reinstall your CD or DVD writing or recording software.

If this is helpful, would appreciate if you rate this.

Thanks, ArnWuLF.
