Can't get the guitar to play

My rock band didn't come with the instructions and we can't get the guitar to play. The batteries are in and the switch is on, the power light comes on but we can figure out how to add it with the other instruments. Thanks Darlene

I just got GH-RB, hooked up the guitar with Wii contoller after synching with the console. I can use the guitar buttons to make choices on the menu, but when the song starts and I push the buttons and strum, the only sound I hear is a faint tweaking from the guitar. I have played GH on other systems and know how it is suppose to work.

If the blue light does not come. or if the light comes on intermittently, then on then the power wired inside the guitar are not firmly connected to the circuit board. Lay guitar on table, remove back screws. Lift back and follow wired from power switch next to batteries down to where wires connect to circuit board. If plug pulls out easily, it is not connecting. Use two hands to push connector into place, use one had on circuit board to keep connector from breaking off while pushing. Connector should not come loose when gently pulling on wires.

Make sure control has been sync with wii console, if unsure re sync.
move controller closer to console.
check batteries still have charge.
make sure no objects block the signals.

We got beatles rock band and we played it and everything worked fine. We turned it on to play again and we cannot get the guitar to sync. What can we do?

Did you have to sync it from the very start?I am not familiar with the guitar games. If the guitar needs batteries, open the battery cover. Also open the large cover on the front of the console. There should be a sync button under the guitar battery cover.Press that and the red sync button at the top of the open panel on the console. It may take a couple tries to sync up but it should. Good luck and ROCK ON!

Rockband TrackPack

Unfortunately, the guitar that comes with the Guitar Hero does not work with Rock Band or Rock Band 2. Rock Band, as you mentioned, recognizes the Wiimote as the controller for the microphone.

Unfortunately, you will have to get a guitar that is specifically designed for Rock Band.

I know this isn't the answer that is popular, but if you vote for my solution, please vote at least "Thanks for Trying".

Gibson guitar doesnt play on rock band, only vocals come up

Rock Band and Guitar Hero instruments are NOT compatible on the Wii. They are compatible on the 360, the PS3, and the RB drums for PS2. Activision went their own way with the Wii and made life difficult for all of the aspiring musicians on the Wii. Sorry.

Playing Rock Band 2 without a microphone

you have to use the green and red keys on the guitar to navigate the software...not the WII remote if you want to use the guitar.. THe WII remote is ONLY used for the Microphone.

On the drums you use the red and Green drum to navigate for the drum...not the WII remote....

Lights flashing on guitar and usb

If you are using the Fender Stratocaster Rock Band Guitar:

1) Ensure you have fresh batteries in the Wireless Guitar
2) Insert receiver into USB hub
3) Turn on Guitar via switch on back.
4) If both the guitar and the USB receiver is flashing blue, then press the guitar logo button until flashing blue light on the receiver stops flashing.

Note that on Rock Band 1, non-Rock Band guitars (ie: Guitar Hero and Wiimote based guitars) generally don't work.

Good luck!

Play rock band for wii without mic, drums and guitar only?

Don't use the controller to navigate, that's the vocalist's controls. Go in and out of menus with the instrument you intend on using, don't use the controller.
