I deleted a contact from my address book, but their name and phone number still appears in my recent text messaging contact list when I send a new text message. Can you please tell me how to delete their name on the recent text message contact list?

It will probably stay until a different contact takes it's place. You can also try adding their name again exactly as it was. After that, edit from your list of contacts by changing the contact name and number to that of directory assistance or other contact.
