99% of the time it is the thermal fuse on the control board. I have seen this about 12 times now. In one of the cases i found the circuit it was wired to, was way overloaded and was browning out power to the dishwasher.

Replaced the Thermal Fuse... still didn't work. Pulled out the dishwasher and found a nice little nest of mice. They chewed through the electrical cord. Replaced it and now have power but cycle won't start. I saw something about pushing a series of buttons to reset the machine so I am going to go try that. I expect it to work.

My Kitchen Aid Dishwasher model # KUDS40FVSS0 has blinking cancel, sani-rinse and normal wash lights. It will not run at all. We replace the control board and still nothing. Please Help!!!

I have had this problem. Mine didn't work for over a week and by the time the repair man came over to 'replace the board' it suddenly worked. The guy told me that if you use ANY type of liquid dishwashing soap (for your sink) and any residue/bubble is on the dishes, it can cause your dishwasher to break. I have no idea why but I've been really careful to make sure I wasn't using dish soap prior to putting them in the washer.

I've had 3 service calls on this dishwasher since I purchased it 3 years ago. I'm having similar service issues with my Kitchen Aid Fridge. And of course no help from Kitchen Aid.

Have had my kitchen aid for about 7 years love it but now all of a sudden I have lime hard water build up and it is on the glasses

Put your glasses in the dishwasher and put a small container of "TANG" in and run it through a cycle. That should help the dishwasher and the glasses. I just dump the "TANG" in at the beginning of the cycle.Hope this helps.

My bosh classixx dishwasher is showing the light rinse acid and salt i have just got finish rinse aid and salt **** not sore were to put it in the dishwasher there is a cap saying salt is it that?

Inside the machine in base there is a large screw cap.
Undo that put DISHWASHER salt in not cooking salt.
Make sure the salt well is full of water in it before you put in the salt. Fill salt to top.

Hoover HED 6612/1-80 dishwasher all four lights flash and beep whilst the machine drains, after a couple of minutes the beeping stops but the four lights glow. Cannot reset to cancel. Also still makes...

Not sure if you have got a user manual for this dishwasher. You can download one from this site.

You have a flood situation inside the dishwasher. See page 12 of the manual. There may be no water at the bottom of the machine but there is some overfill occuring. Also see error codes on page 13. This can be either because the flood detection circuit is faulty and giving false trigger or there is water in the base of the dishwasher housing due to leaking door gasket or hoses.

Some things to try. Turn mains power off and back on and see if there is any difference.
If not, then turn power off and pull dishwasher out from the kitchen benchtop. Put a few towels on the floor and tilt the dishwasher side to side on the base and see if any water comes out. Wait 5-6 minutes and turn power back on. See if it makes any difference.

5 y/o kitchen aid dishwasher was wroking great now no water will go in during wash cycle-

Unless someone turned the supply off under the sink, the water fill solenoid is likely defective. It should be located near the area where the fill hose connects to the machine. Make sure to shut the power off by unplugging or turning the appropriate breaker off. Hope this helps.

Not getting any water into the kitchen aid dishwasher

it could be the water inlet valve. that is definitely a DIY job. but first i would check out the float inside the machine. if it is stuck in the up position, no water will enter the machine. it will assume that it is already full of water. look for a small hat or cone on the bottom. make sure that it slides freely up and down. if it was stuck up, you will have just freed it and solved your problem. good luck

Kitchen Aid dishwasher model KDC-18 is not filling with water

Under the machine is the water inlet valve. if you take off the front end of that you find a filter which fills up with rust, and you can clean it out. If that doesnt work, repairclinic.com will sell you a new valve for 32

My kitchen aid dishwasher was running on the normal clcle then all of a sudden it stopped. No lights operate on the touch panel.

most likely cause, is a blown fuse on the control panle, with a torx 15 screwwdriver you can remove the control lpanel accessing hte control board, on it youll find a small white rectangular fuse with 2 wires attached to it, it more than likely has blown you can find the part on sears.com probalby 20-40 bucks.its live wires leading to one side of fuse so unplug/disconnect power before servicing... ill bet that theres water remaining on the floor of dishwasher as well?? common place in cycle to blow!
