Question about DVD & Blu-Ray Players

Open Question

I have a Panasonic SA-BT100 Blue-ray Home Theater. It was a display at the store. I brought it home and only a few of the functions on the remote work. When I try and use the bottons on the unit itself, I get a message on the tv saying that they are currently disabled. How do I reable them and the remote?

SOURCE: Panasonic SA-HT820V need universal remote that can control radio

I had a similar problem. I disassembled my remote (flat screwdriver and pulling, cleaned the circuit board and rubber buttons thoroughly with rubbing alcohol, then reassembled.
For some reason, the remote didn't work properly until I started pressing the channel buttons immediately followed by the volume buttons. It worked normally, after that. It was most likely due to the not yet dry rubbing alcohol interfering. My remote now works, normally.

Can i connect dmp-bd871 to a home theater system

It will depend on your home theater system and TV. If your system accepts HDMI in from other devices and HDMI out to the TV, connect an HDMI cable from the blue-ray player to an HDMI input on home theater system. Then connect another HDMI cable between the home theater system and the TV. This will provide the best video and audio experience.

Another option is connect the HDMI cable from the Blue-ray player to the TV. Connect the audio output of the TV to the home theater system. (This will depend on the TV as well as the home theater system. Some TVs have digital audio outputs; others have analog outputs. If your home theater system doesn't have the same input as the TV's output, you would need a converter as well as the digital and analog audio cables. This is an example of one for digital to analog: http://www.gefen.com/kvm/dproduct.jsp?prod_id=4907 .)

If you do not want to get the best picture from the Blue-ray player and your home theater system has analog audio inputs, you can connect the composite video out to the TV. Then connect the audio outputs from the player to your home theater system. (This means only an SD picture will be provided to your TV.)

Panasonic has the manual for the DMP-BD871 here: service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/DMPBD871-MUL.PDF .

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the other devices in your entertainment system or their inputs/outputs. Then I can add specific information for your system and any tips for setting up the system.

Dvd s58 how to make it multy zone

hi,
To make your dvd player region free ,you also need a pansonic tv's or home theater's remote. Do the following with the two remote to make you player region free.

The new Panasonic DVD players DVD-S38 & DVD-S58 have a different way of being multizoned. An extra Panasonic remote is required ie: from TV or home theater:
Power On, Tray Open.
Using remote control included press: Audio, 1, 9, 8, 2. Press Subtitle.
Using another Panasonic remote press Pause.
On the remote included, press 0.
'On' will be displayed on the unit.
ok

Panasonic SA-HT820V need universal remote that can control radio

My remote works for the most basic functions I need it for. But there are things that don't work, like the Menu button. After looking online just now, there is a website to order new parts and accessories for this system. Here is the website, http://www.pstc.panasonic.com/EpartR/PartsListChoice.asp?validate=1.
If you order a new remote, maybe that will work. Not sure if it's worth it for you but that's what I'm going to try. And here is the remote you need, EUR7722X20. Good luck!

My Home Theater System is displaying F61,it's a panasonic SA - HT740

The problem is not the fan but either the amp pac or the regulator. If you can update this with the model number of your unit (SA-xxx), I can get you the probable part and cost.

Thanks,
Dan
