Question about Televison & Video

Open Question

I have a Panasonic SA-BT100 Blue-ray Home Theater. It was a display at the store. I brought it home and only a few of the functions on the remote work. When I try and use the bottons on the unit itself, I get a message on the tv saying that they are currently disabled. How do I reable them and the remote?

SOURCE: Panasonic SA-HT820V need universal remote that can control radio

I had a similar problem. I disassembled my remote (flat screwdriver and pulling, cleaned the circuit board and rubber buttons thoroughly with rubbing alcohol, then reassembled.
For some reason, the remote didn't work properly until I started pressing the channel buttons immediately followed by the volume buttons. It worked normally, after that. It was most likely due to the not yet dry rubbing alcohol interfering. My remote now works, normally.

I have a panasonic sc BT 100 blu ray home cinema system, the iPod and optical inputs appear to not to be working, are there any internal fuses that could have blown

Inputs are not fused. Have you looked at the manual(s)?

Register and download the manual for free at

Digital inputs need to be assigned. The optical cable must be routed with no tight bends.

Can I add a blue ray player to my Panasonic SA-PT956 Home theater system?

Yes, sort of. IF the BD has OPTICAL digital audio. Otherwise you won't hear it in multichannel.

I'd run the BD's HDMI or component video straight to the TV.

Sa bt300 reads lock and will not open

You have to turn it off. Press the Open and Fast Forward buttons on the unit (Not the Remote Control) at the same time until the tray opens.

When i turn up the volume on my home theater it goes to maximum by itself, and does the same on minimum side!!

Turn unit off, then Press "Play/Pause", "Stop" and the "Power" button on the unit (not on remote) ALL AT THE SAME TIME. This should fix it. Also, download the firmware update (Google "firmware update for Panasonic SC-BT100 and follow the link to the Panasonic support site)....since I updated the firmware, mine hasn't done this again.

I have a Panasonic SC-BT100 Blu-ray Home Theater system. Every time I hit the volume button once, the volume starts scrolling and won't stop until I hit the OK button on the remote. Most of the other...

I have had the same issue and have discovered that if I walk over and manually adjust the volume one time, it corrects the issue with the remote for a few months. It's obviously a bug, but at least in my case the bandaid is quick and simple. Much simpler than configuring the blasted thing to work like I want! :-)
Good luck ... hope it works for you too.

I have the Panasonic SC-BT100 Blue-Ray Disc Home Theater Sound System, and whenever we watch a dvd it plays fine and after a while the tv turns blue but the sound goes off.. after a while it will come back...

Cooling fan is probably dirty or not running. Check the fan by removing it with the two screws on the back and make certain that it's plugged in and the short, black wire (that appears to go to nothing) is "securing" the plug to the board.
